DTS (digital theater systems) is the name for a company that has it's own proprietary digital encoding for the audio, just as Dolby Digital does. In order for your media to have audio output in DTS, it actually has to be encoded with the DTS software format, AND manually selected by the user to play in that format. Incredible Hulk is NOT encoded in DTS. Select a movie that has the DTS encoding by checking the rear label of the case on the format table.

Try this, not sure if the same would work for ya.

Swich off the amplifier.
Prior to the process check the wires connecting the speakers are not creating a short circuit which is apparently putting the amplified into a standy mode.

1. Press the "A" "B" and power key all at the same time and hold on to it.
2. The amp will go into a reset mode and will keep blinking till it gives a normal "click" sound and the amp turns on.
3. this process would take about 2 - 3 minutes.
4. You may then release the buttons.
5. If it goes into a standby mode again and does not power on, or the standby keeps blinking, get assistance from the engineer.
6. Once it is on, you shall need to do the resetting of alll the configurations done earlier.

Hope it works, it costed me 3k to get the job done.

Try plugging and unplugging a pair of headphones. The headphone jack in these receivers are flaky and sometimes think there are headphones hooked up even when there isn't. Full repair would require the headphone jack to be replaced. If you don't use headphones at all, you can take the top cover off and unplug the cable going to the headphone jack board and eliminate the problem that was as well.

Check to see if there is a way to adjust the balance for the speakers or set individual volumes for each speaker.

Any way check in STBY PCB you must have 5.6V STBY that voltage supply to CPU or system control when you turn on the relay will switch AC line to the big transformer now if any thing wrong with the regulator or output or output drive it will shutdown automatic and the red LED will blinking indicated some thing wrong
Give me exactly location of the component in STBY PCB the small transformer TR?? C?? or R?? with voltage? connector number such as J ??

First check the outputs at the output fets/transistors for any DC voltage. Reference your voltmeter to the speaker - terminal. If there is ANY DC offset, the amp is shutting down the outputs to protect your speakers from DC. Is the power supply + and - 47 volts? If only one supply is there That is your problem because the supplies should be symmetrical. Also look for any wiring problems from the amp to your speakers... any shorts? Try disconnecting all your speakers to totally eliminate any speaker problem and see if the relays still click. You should hear only ONE click when you first turn the amp on (delay of about 2-5 seconds). If they keep clicking the amp outputs are next. Also, is there any indication on the front panel of what is failing?

Any device has only so many self-protection cycles in it before it gives up the ghost.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a root cause for intermittent shutdown.

your Denon has some power supply control section faults inside it. As there is no indication of power, it must have to troubleshoot well before doing anything. If there was Display unit lights, we may have try to reset it to factory settigs. Here now, nothing works. Denon has no authorised service center at Mumbai. there is noo need to insist only to an Authorised Service center. There will have so many well experienced service techinicans, in Mubai. Otherwise get it repairee by any authorised service center fro Sony or Samsung. They will take the work. The set has a quite complicated circuit, and must have proper care in servicing. Find out somebody else. I can't give you anyone, as it is against Fixya's terms and conditions for primium experts. Never make any experiments by yourself in the set, as it contains both digital and analogue circuit combination, and spareparts availablity also is rare. Keep these in mind, and get it repaired by someone whom do you know well. OK.

I think your Denon receiver is having a power problem. it might have worked fine in the past, but that's electronics for you. Power surge, irregular power supply, excess power supply, etc can affect the unit thereby not making it to power on.

This unit must have a power supply board in it where power enters from the mains. A capacitor, fuse, diode, etc may have been defective on the power board and maybe that's why its not making the unit work. There might also be some disconnection or something, inside the unit which is not making it to respond.

To actually find out what's wrong, you need to disassemble the unit with a screw driver and check what's wrong. You will be needing a meter in order to test the components on the power board, once you detect any bad component, you can make necessary replacement at any electronics accessories store withing our vicinity. This is the only way by which you can detect the problem.

Of course, testing the power board with a meter will require someone that has the ability. So it you can't, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a friend that has the ability to help you out.
