Strip off all the panels and look for water where it shouldn't be and chaffed cables especially near holes in the casing. If you can't find anything, you need to check individual items, compressor, pump, and grinder with a multimeter. Or just call for service.

If the Hoshizaki F-450maf ice machine's reservoir tank has no water, you should first check that the machine is properly connected to a water supply and that the water supply valve is turned on. You should also check that the machine's water filter is clean and not clogged. Additionally, make sure that the float switch is functioning properly and that it is not stuck in the "off" position. as long as you recovered the charge, pulled a vacuum, changed the filter/dryer, and added the correct amount of refrigerant as a liquid, you should be good to go.

Have a look at the side of the evaporator; there is a probe (thermistor) attached to it that tells the control board when to initiate the harvest cycle. make sure it's clean and attached properly and doesn't need replacing. If hitting the float switch initiates the harvest cycle it sounds like you have a blocked/ scaled water tube or switch housing. take off the bottom of the switch assembly (black rubber bit) and clean through to the water chamber. run a cycle of descaler before trying again.

time the cycle. if it is only running about 5 minutes and going into harvest, look for sump loosing water. Look at where the unit drains (like a floor drain) while the unit is running to see how much, if any water is draining. does not take much to make an early harvest. also, sump may not be filling up completely but with just enough water to satisfy the float.

IF you are talking about a freezer, make sure the unit is level as the condensate pan may be overflowing. Also, if the door does not seal properly, it can cause "Sweating" as cold air is escaping and causing condensation at the door. Start with that first.

bin stat is what is used to shut machine down. if it goes bad in any way, no power will go to the control board. Start there.

that could be a number of problems..is it making any beeps or flashing lights on the circuit board? Have you tried to reset the circuit boards reset button with the machine on. ? If the machine seems totally dead then the bin thermostat is most likely the problem..

90% of ice maker problems are water related. Sounds like water may be continually seeping in from the inlet water valve (normal thing to do if the water level is low). This will not allow the water to get down to freezing temperature. You have to identify the reason that water is constantly running in. It's probably "leaking" out at the dump valve. Or does that unit have a float valve that may be leaking. Check your drain to see if water is leaking out during the freeze cycle.

the number of beeps indicates the issue. count the beeps and repost.

take the front and top cover off from the top look down and you can see the reservoir there is a black piece on top with two wires going in to it. turn it to remove it. You can test it by starting the ice machine and turning the float up side down. If water continues to flow you may have a bad diaphragm in your water valve. You can replace the diaphragm with a Phillips screw drive. Just be very careful when you lift the stem that goes in the solenoid make sure you pull the diaphragm with it as well. there is a spring it the stem that will fly out and it runs fast and hides well. look at the diaphragm's hole if it looks worn replace it before the float switch.

It sounds like you have an ice machine head on a fountain unit. If so there should be a circuit board where you can set the agitator setting to stir the ice periodically. it may not be set right or malfunctioning. Check to see if the bin or fountain manufacturer has a model and serial number and verify if you have a stir setting. .

If the machine is a small self contained unit it is normally on the right side of the unit next to the water pump. It has two wires (usually red and black) encased by a grey cover.

Just above the pump there is a check valve that may be stuck open during operation which will cause thin ice. Also make sure you have the o-ring on the bottom of the drain tube if it was removed during cleaning.

Need some more details. Size of cubes too small? Batches of ice take too long to make? (Over 45 minutes?)

If you just want to reset it because it is making a beeping sound, there is a small white button on the control board. just press it while the power is on. If you want more than that, please supply more info.

On Hoshizaki freezers, it has several items that can cause this. Check to see if the heater in the evap are heating up when in defrost. Older machine can force a defrost by just unplug and then plug back in to outlet to do this. There is a "Klixon" type thermostat that disconnects the heaters in case of an overheating condition. These go bad fairly often. Make sure the door closes and seals. Be sure not to do anything that hampers air flow over the evap.
