Scotsman Ice Maker CM3 30inW Cubed Ice Machine 750LB Questions & Answers
I have a I have a Scotsman SCCP30MA that stopped dropping ice . I have unit defrosted and cleaned. What can I do to check that things are functioning as they should? Please help. Thanks.
To check if the ice maker in your Scotsman SCCP30MA is functioning properly, you can try the following steps:
- Ensure that the ice maker's water supply is turned on and that the water line is not clogged or frozen.
- Check the thermostat settings to ensure that the freezer is at the proper temperature.
- Inspect the water inlet valve to make sure it is not clogged or defective.
- Check the ice maker's control arm to make sure it is in the correct position and not blocked.
- Inspect the ice maker's ejector blades to ensure they are not clogged or damaged.
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, the problem may be with the ice maker's control module or motor, which would require professional repair or replacement.
It's also important to check your machine's manual, as it may have additional troubleshooting steps specific to your model.

Hi my scotsman mv 450 only makes 150kg in 24 hour cycle and not 215kg
how old is it? when was the last time u had pm done?
have a qualified hvac/refrig tec come do a pm and you will know.
they will check voltages/amperages, pressures, valves timers etc.
trust me, this is your only answer (unless you have it in a location that encloses it in a 100 degree room without ventilation.
get proper pm service done.

Can t get scotsman cme1656rs to start
problem was not the universal controller. The bin sensors are dirty and scaled up and gives the same indication that bin is full. find the sensors and clean the scale off and unit should start working again. Save the card, you will sooner or later probablly need it.

Water diagnostic code
I do not have enough of your water diagnostic code, but the normal cause is the dual temperatur probe, if the sensor that is inserted just downstream of the water pump is bad and doesnot sense the temperature change as the water cools the unit senses this as a water pump problem and stops the freeze cycle but shutting down and giving a water code. PS I use to know a guy on the USS George Bancroft before 1980 named DJ White. If you were this guy I still have your ship's plaque if you want it.

Bin full light
The sensor build limestone residue during operation and needs to be cleaned off. The bin sensors are typically located on either side of the freeze platens and can be removed to clean. Turn machine off and unplug. Reach in past the water trough and freeze platen and you will see the transmiter and receiver plugged into the side walls. Gentlely work sensor loose and work sensor wiring out hole until you can get to sensors. Clean the two sensor with a clean cloth and with vinegar until sensers are clean. Reinstall, and plug back in and start unit. Bin sensor light should be out and should start.

My Scotsman 275 is giving me a refrigeration error
If the water pump is not working, or working intermittenly, it is the first thing I would replace. Often causes for water pump failure is bearing/bushing failure and excessive limeston buildup. As for as the refrigeration error, there is a dual probe sensor that inputs temperature into the control card for the discharge temperature of the compressor and the water pump discharge temperature. You can check to see if each of these device are function with a ohmmeter and see if the resistance is 10k - 15k ohms. If either of these do not check out, it needs replaced. Next see if the condenser is dirty, excessive freeze times can cause refrigeration error due to excessively long freeze time (freeze times >60 minutes). If dirty, clean coil until you can see light through the coils. During the operation, check to see if the fan runs continously during freeze cycle. If it starts and stops or just stops, fan motor needs replaced. Any thing more will require an ice machine tech to troubleshoot with his instruments. Hope this helps a little.
