Error message showing up is r03
r03 is NOT an error message. It indicates the number of remaining pictures that can be stored in the camera's built-in high speed memory buffer (before the camera will need to send them to the memory card). Each successive picture taken rapidly will decrease this r03 number by 1. Eventually the r01 will be on screen, and after that picture is taken, the camera will not shoot until the memory buffer has been transferred. This may take a few seconds, and then shooting can continue again.

More likely you don't have enough light for clear photos. There's not too much you can do about this, since you probably can't add more light to the stadium or arena and the action is too far away for your flash.
Since the low light is going to force a rather slow shutter speed on you, you need to stabilize the camera. Use a tripod or monopod. That won't stop the athletes from blurring, but at least the setting will be sharper. Alternatively you can try panning with the motion, freezing the athlete and blurring the background.
A faster lens will get you a couple of additional stops, but as such lenses can cost $2000 and more, unless you're taking pictures for Sports Illustrated...

My digital camera does not
Hello
The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel
after dropping it. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the
probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.
Use
these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.
Firstly ,
try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.
Try holding the
shutter button while switching on the camera.
Look at the lens ,
and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then
try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).
Try gently
pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may
cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.
Another
way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and
then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to
not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and
down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the
camera is enough to get things going again.
Try hitting your
camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of
your hand.
Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair
center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to
replace the camera.
If it is still under warranty I would suggest
you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any
off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about
warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.
Hope
the advise is useful.

Andrea
Nikon d70 will not store image
This may be related to the CF card being used. The Nikon D70 and D70s are an older technology and supports
most cards up to 1 GB in capacity. It can support a very limited number of cards up to 4 GB in capacity. Nikon has a
list of support cards.
The list is old and I myself have used other brand cards without a problem - as long as they did not exceed 1GB in my old D70. I imagine many 2GB cards would work but beyond that - I would want to venture. Of course, sticking to the list is a sure bet.
Of course, it may just be a "bad" card - or it could be bent connectors in the camera - but it is unlikely unless you've forced a card into the slot in the past. Try with another card to be sure.
Please rate this reply - good luck!

Try the carrd on your PC card reader for any issues, if not format and reinsert once again. If the same error comes in then it is possible that the contacts to the memory card is faulty, worn out or damaged. Have you by any chance tried to put in any other cards or reversed .If so the contacts may be moved.
You will need to check into the card reader slot toconfirm or replace this card slot.
I suggest that you call and confirm or visit the nearest Nikon service centre to take help than to let the camera be tampered.
Get estimate and decide.
Good day

D70s Flash lifts into position but no flash
Remove the 2 screws from the front of the popup flash The rear plastic cover will the clip off.
Inside you will find a small switch on the right side of the flash unit when it pops up the switch should make, if it doesn't try shorting it with a small insulated item the try the camera in low light and see if if flashes.
To fix you need to remove the spring-screw from the other side then gently prise the bracket off, then just pull out the small white sleeve on the right hand side of the popup near the switch, this sleeve moves in slightly and will not make the switch on the popup flash.
Gently put the flash bracket onto the camera, be very gentle as the wires are very thin. You will see the white plastic bearing has 2 small clips which need to be through the hole on the bracket the pin which activates the switch will then be in the correct position.
