Hoover HDC6 Electric Dryer Questions & Answers
Hoover HDV6UK keeps tripping circuit breaker
There are only 2 things that it could be both are heat related:
THe thermostat and thermal limiter OR the heating element. We can not rule out the motor though. Then you can get into the control boards. Maybe it is time.
How to get to motor on hoover vhc691b?
Very rare a motor fails on a hoover drier normally its the capacitor that fails. you can hear the motor humming but the drum wont rotate to proof its the capacitor turn the machine on press start listen for the motor humming open the the door of drier turn the drum by hand fast then shut the door as fast has possible then the drum should start going around . then this proves its the capacitor fault you are doing the job of the capacitor giving the motor a start .
Re-Hoover nextra8 hnc380 Tumble dryer
Had this problem with mine. Its the belt tensioner pulleys that have seized and cause the noise.I got 2 net tensioners and fitted them myself. The parts come to about £15 but its a total strip down to replace the parts. been working fine now for about a year
Hoover dryer not turning over
kind of vague but it may be your belt is off, of course we can think the worst and say the motor is shot. Bottom line we need to open up the machine and do a little troubleshooting. Here is a website that can get you into the machine, if it is not the belt, post again and if I'm on here I will try to help Tim:

The heater is not working
Unplug the dryer and the first thing to do is check for the presence of
220 volts at the wall outlet. If you lost one leg of the 220 volts, it
is possible for your dryer to run but there will not be any heat. Once
you verified there is definitely 220 volts at the wall outlet, remove
the rear cover. On the lower right hand side you will see a silver
canister which contains the heating element. Remove the lower two wires
directly from the heating element and check this for continuity. If it
is good, on the left hand side of the same canister they often install a
thermal safety which may have tripped. Do the same test as with the
heating element. Remove the wires and test the thermal safety for
continuity. If this is good, move to the blower housing on the left
side of the exhaust vent and look for a white piece of plastic which has
two wires on it. Remove these two wires and check this item for
continuity.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. It
seems to be the issue with the Thermal Fuse going bad and needs to be replaced.
It is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the
back cover panel. Also, often a dryer heating element burns out, but
doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply
a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter.
No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it. Please
do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
