This kind of symptoms indicated of faulty video processor's circuitry in the main board. First thing to check is the loose connection. Pull-out the connectors connected from this board to power supply board and to the T-con board, inspect and then re-insert and ensure that they are properly seat-in. If the symptoms still persist, you have to replace the entire main board.

hi,to add speakers from your TV you have to connect the RCA audio output into and audio amplifier.the audio output from the jack of your TV is only a pre amplified output which means you cannot connect it directly into a speakers you need to connect it to an amplifier to have a sound output ready to be connected into speakers.
If you have a audio receiver in your home theater system connect it to audio input of your reciever then select then select it with the input selector from the receiver you can now have a loud audio signal of your TV.good luck and thank you for consulting fixya.

Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.

The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.

Often there are fuses on that board - one or more. Check those.

if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.

to change the resolution you will need to change the source. So if it's a DVD player then you have to make sure it's outputting the higher resolution. If it's a cable box the same thing. also to get 1080 you need to have component or HDMI hooked up. If you need further assistance let me know.

On the vizio remote go to menu then picture then click the more button then advanced pic then turn off ambient light sensor and bscklight control. I also had to play around with the backlight #

I also have had this problem. The only way to get the over ride password is to call Vizio at 888-849-4623 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm PST. they will give you the over ride password for free over the phone.

Sorry that is the only way to get it.

Bad capaciotrs on power supply board can cause this they will be vented or swollen on Top. 1000uf 16v 2200uf 10v 3300uf 10v.

The problem of your TV is the power supply board.

Please follow this procedure to fix that problem:

1. Remove the back cover of your TV.
2. After that,look for the power supply board.
3. Next,check the input voltage of the power supply using multimeter tester (range in AC).If the power supply don't have input voltage,replace the power cord.
4. If the power supply board have input voltage,next is check the output voltage of power supply it should have 5vdc for the system board,12vdc for the sounds and 24vdc for the back light inverter.
5. If you don't have output voltage of the power supply.Please check the fuse if busted and the power transistor if it is shorted,replace it with the same type,ratings and value.Also look for any leak/bulged on the top capacitor.
6. After you done this steps and you found and replace the defective parts.Plug-in your TV and power it ON to test if it is OK.

You need to go to the input that the Roku box is on and follow the instructions.

This is a picture format setting. Some remotes has a button labled format. Press the button to change format options. Or select menu and go to picture settings and find picture format, and scroll through options to find a setting to your liking. Depending on you service provider (dishnetwork, directv, or cable) you may need to change the picture format setting on that device as well. Contact your service provider if your not sure how to access these settings on the service providers box (device).

It can be the LCD panel, T-CON board, or main baord, very difficult to narrow down since you will need the service manual to look at all the signals with the scope.
I would try reseating the ribbon cables between the panel and the T-CON board first.

Fuses can be bought from most of the electronics sparepart shops. There will be markings on its end caps, about its rating and voltage. Can be of any company's type, provided the voltage and other ratings marked should be the same. There are slow-blow and fast-blow types available. In TVs, slow-blow type should be used. But before replacing a new fuse, check whether there is any reason for the present fuse to blow up. Without any reason, no fuse will blow up. OK.

You have to go into the cable box menu and designate HDMI as your output to your TV. Consult your manual for your box as there are quite a few different ones on the market. If you don't have manual, very easy to find online. Good luck.
