Hi Evan Essentially it's a computer inside a modern Flat Screen TV these days. Not a lot that the average person can do... But... if you feel capable of opening the back.... Once you get inside and check for loose or poor connectors, I would be looking for leaky Electrolytic Capacitors. Usually in the power supply section. Look for brown fluid leaks on PCB & a very slightly puffed out or bowed top on the cap. (ready to explode) Take a picture of suspect. Take note of Polarity (black stripe) & write down uf & voltage & temp values. eg 1000uF @ 25v To prove you are on the right track, you can connect a similar rated Cap across (in parallel) the existing Cap. Depending on space etc. Even by short extension wires. Power up & see results. Fault Gone or Not? Then... Unsolder & Remove suspect Cap & try to replace with higher voltage rating & slightly higher uf capacity depending on space available around the components. I just called Vizio and they said to unplug the TV, then physically hold in the power button on the TV for 2 minutes.

Some service manuals are hard to get. It is sometimes best to contact the manufacture of the device to request one. You can call them and see if you can request one. Official VIZIO Support

It looks like the control board is not receiving a voltage that it is expecting to tell it the TV is fully on, and is going into a fail-safe shutdown mode. I would start by looking for swollen capacitors on the boards in the set as well as for loose/bad solder connections on those boards. Aside from that you would need a service manual and some test equipment to troubleshoot it. Sorry I can't be more help, I have not had to work on this particular model before.

it sounds like an rca (white or red) cAble is not fully inseted, or the audio level of the device making the bad sound is too high and distorting. try checking the red and white cables are fully inserted on both ends. if that fails, try another rca cable.
