Open or run the partition manager. In Partition Magic you can open the program easily. In Cute Partition Manager you may have to create a boot disk and boot from it to run the program. Once the program is open, select the drive you want to manage. Go to the menu and choose an action or right-click and choose "resize." There will be an action -menu that will let you choose something like "resize" or "change hard drive size." Some programs will also let you right-click on the graphical expression of a drive and choose the action or drag the graph to change the size.
Pick a new size for the drive and decide what you want to do with the remaining space. The rest of the space should be partitioned or formatted to make use of it if the current partition is downsized.
Apply the changes by clicking "apply" or "OK." You will then have to reboot the computer for the changes to take effect. The program may automatically do this for you or it simply may direct you to do it.

Bootrec.exe options
loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); The Bootrec.exe tool supports the following options. Use the option that is appropriate for your situation.Note If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup issue, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. By doing this, you make sure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the Windows RE command prompt:
· bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup
· c:
· cd boot
· attrib bcd -s -h -r
· ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
· bootrec /RebuildBcd /FixMbr loadTOCNode(3, 'moreinformation'); The /FixMbr option writes a Windows 7 or Windows Vista-compatible MBR to the system partition. This option does not overwrite the existing partition table. Use this option when you must resolve MBR corruption issues, or when you have to remove non-standard code from the MBR.
