it is also possible that the leak came from the pump as well most likely your lines are also clogged up with fine ground coffee past the brewer which stops the water from flowing and causes excess pressure which eventually either busts a water line or makes the pump push the water out past the caseing of the machine. Very time consuming finding the leak as well as replaceing the parts that are broken. If you have any further questions message me back. Its probably a loose hose or a failed O ring. You can take it apart and probably find the problem and fix it if you are handy. As it is don't use it. It's dangerous. You cold get a shock. Unplug it and either repair it or take it in to someone who handles Saeco. Their website lists repair facilities.

Turn the + / - knob in the bean hopper to the + and then back 1 mark. Are the grounds coarse or fine? They should be like coarse sugar through your fingers. If they are very coarse that can be part of the problem. What is your setting on the big knob. It should be around 8 depending on your bean. Only turn the big knob down when the grinder is grinding. You can turn it up any time.

i had this same problem and it turns out a small mineral deposit was lodged in the water line, right before it went in to the second heater (to make steam). The cost to repair and shipping was pretty high, so i fixed it myself and it's not too hard. You can try de-scaling. If you want take the water line apart, let me know and I'll walk you through it.

You can't manually reset. The machine will have to do it. I had the same problem, two green flashing lights with one red (water) all 3 would just keep flashing and not turn solid. No coffee can be made or hot water. I could not pump prime. The problem was the steam wand was blocked with old milk residue. It needs unblocking or you will never pump prime. I could not unscrew the steam wand...so I let it sink in a glass full of hot water for a few minutes and then turned the water knob counter clockwise to push out the softened residue. After that, everything was good. When water started flowing out of the steam wand, the red light turned off and the green lights turned solid. The obvious answer to why you can't pump prime is there is a blockage somewhere and best to start with the steam wand. --Mabada
My Saeco Italia is stuck in the descaling mode.
I had this problem too. I was beside myself wondering what to do. I took the machine apart but there was nothing wrong. It was stuck in an infinite descale cycle. The 5 green buttons never blinked to say it was done. What finally fixed it was to close the steamer valve to where water was being being restricted from the steamer wand but still a little water was spurting out. It finally quit emitting water and the 5 lights blinked and the infinite descale cycle completed. This model espresso maker was a lemon and been nothing but problems.
