Graphics card causing system to shut down?
Please go into the BIOS of the system and Set the BIOS as default
- Restart your computer.
- When the computer first starts, it
performs the power-on self test (POST). This test checks that all
connected devices are functioning. As part of the POST, the memory is
checked. During the memory test, a message will appear that tells you
how to access the BIOS. For example, you may see the following message
or a similar message that explains how to start the BIOS setup:
PRESS DEL TO ENTER SETUPIn
this example, you must press the DEL key immediately after the memory
test is finished to start the setup process. You may have to press the
key several times to make sure that you access the BIOS setup.
Tip There are other keys that may provide access to the BIOS. They include the following:
- F1
- F2
- F10
- CTRL+ENTER
- ALT+ENTER
- CTRL+ALT+ESC
- CTRL+ALT+INSERT
If you are not sure how to access the BIOS setup, see the user manual for your computer's motherboard.
- Look
for the Set BIOS as Default settings. You can usually use the arrow keys to move through the menus
and settings.

Constant crashes during any game
I had this exact problem with my Geforce graphics card. After ensuring that it wasn't overheating, I opened up the PC and reseated (removed and plugged it back in firmly) the graphics card. This actually fixed the issue. Issue caused by a poor connection probably due to too much dust inside the PC.Failing that, the graphics card would need to be replaced.

As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.
My Employer Says They Are Going To Cut My Wages. Can They?
If you are in the middle of a contract, then cutting your wages is almost certainly a violation of your employment law rights. While I am by no means an expert on this matter, I did have a similar issue years ago - mid-contract wage cuts - and I hired an
employment attorney to fight the case on my behalf. It turned out that my employer was basically looking to scare people into taking the wage cut.
They got into some pretty serious legal trouble for their transgression, and nothing happened to me in terms of wage cuts after that. If you are between contracts, your employer can re-negotiate your salary, but as far as I am aware, if you are in an agreed-upon contract, they cannot just decide to reduce your salary. If you want to settle matters, contest this action with support from a legal professional.
