Hotpoint Aquarius WF000 Front Load Washer - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Hi, I have a Hotpoint Aquarius F545 washing
1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.
Thanks for using FixYa

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

I req the menu list
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry, I don't know your particular machine- is this 'menu' , like on our Bosch, on a card which slides behind the front of the detergent drawer? If, as I suspect, it is then probably your best action is to type into your web browser ' Hotpoint Aquarius WF000 spares' and you should be presented with places which can supply items such as this.
Sorry but this forum does not supply parts direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, with experience of addressing problems ;-0)
Good luck,
John C.

This means the water is not on check the pipe and make sure the tap is fully on and try the machine again. if u checked this then check the filter to do this take off the pipe at the machine and there is a filter if it is clear then you can put the pipe back on and try again. Hope this helps.

My wf000 fills up with water when turned off
either the solenoid valve that allows water in is faulty, or your water pressure is way too high.
if you are in a very high pressure area than a pressure regulator should cure it, but the first thing to check is the solenoid valve

A red light is on
This normally means there is no water getting to the machine, the taps are usually at the rear of the machine but can be anywhere so just follow the hoses that are attached to the machine this will lead you to the taps

Hi for changing the door seal check out the video section on www.selfix-uk.co.uk there are a few videos on the wf including bearing change which also covers the door seal as well. As far as the noise in your machine it could be almost any thing...if it's a scrapping noise it may be a bra wire caught between the drum and container, if its a tapping noise it may just be loose wires hitting on the cabinet or you may have a coin between the drum and container if it's a loud rattle, you could also have something in the pump housing...it's hard to diagnose noises without actually hearing them sorry

I would suspect that the main drum bearings have failed.
From the front of the washer, spin the drum by hand, and if it feels rough or is noisy, then the bearings have failed.
There should be little or no noise when you spin the drum.

The belt on the drum
Hi, W/D here.
Here's a few things to check:
1. Is the tensioner pulley engaging the belt and holding it tight?
2. Is the belt worn out?
The belt would be most likely to me. If it is old or obviously worn, replace it. Once the belt is on the drum, motor and tensioner pulley. rotate the drum by hand several revolutions, slowly (with the power off) to seat the belt back into it's tracking position.
Best regards, --W/D--
