Clean filter
There is a small compartment at the bottom of the front panel, open this. You will see a jar like cover which you can unscrew. This is the filter.
Tray for fabric conditioner does not clear
take the tray out and give the inside of the drawer and the machine a good clean, ours was full of gunk and I cleaned it out with a baby's bottle brush in all the holes and grooves and that sorted it.
Good Luck

Since the door is broken try to break the latch, without damaging the rest of the machine. Will need a screwdriver and drill, to remove the plastic door. Don't drill into any glass or metal.A new door will need to be sourced.

nudge it with your knee! have same problem, obviously just a dodgy connection somewhere but it's always been the same :)
Just got this machine all instructions on front
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry, this forum is not able to supply any type of manual, installation instructions, electrical or schematic diagrams direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

musty damp smell have done
Hi (to UK?) from retired Englishman in SW France,
Couple of possible solutions (if you haven't tried them already ;-0)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. It's also a good idea to carry this out on a regular basis anyway.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
--------------------------------------
Second, also not a bad idea to check but maybe not as regularly- the house u-bend into which the washer drains. Sometimes the washer shares a sink outlet which can get smelly.

Hope these help and good luck!

I want to change the carbon brushes, what type are
The screws are normally a pozidrive type, so you will need a pozidrive screwdriver.
Having said that, there ihas been more than one type of motor fitted to this model,
and one type does not have screws securing the brushes, they are clipped in place, so you will not know until you remove the motor from the washer.
Hotpoint WMA30 is leaking a
Thwater is leaking because the shaft seal has worn, and the hole is supposed to be there as it is a drainage hole.
The outcome will be that the main drum bearings will eventually fail as the water will get into the drum bearings.
To replace the seal involves a complete strip down of washer. not a job to be undertaken by yourself, unless you know what you are doing.
HOTPOINT AQUARIUS WMA30
For most front-loaders:
Plug off the wall mains. Remove the plastic clamp holding the
seal to cabinet & peel off the cabinet. Push downwards on the seal
close to the tub & the seal will come off - it's just held by a
spring on the periphery.
Lubricate the slot which fits over the tub with washing-up fluid.
Starting at the top, press the seal so the flange of the tub enters the
slot on the seal. Work your way round the using thumbs to force the slot
on the tub flange. When slot is on the flange all way round, fit the
spring which holds it on. The spring goes into a slot on the outside of
the seal. This is quite difficult and you may need another pair of
hands. Fit the outside of the seal to the cabinet - this
is easy and fit the plastic clamping ring.
Test for leaks before
using. Use rinse to test as the water level is higher. (There
is no glue anywhere, only clamps, etc)

Door not opening
There is an interlock in side the machine where the outer catch connects with the front panel. Unplug the machine. Take off lid. Put you hand down the front where the door catch connects and gingerly try to release the mechanism. If sucessful replace the interlock and put your pants on
How do I get out the bearings? Rest of machine
It can be fixed, but I would not recommend it, as it involves a complete stripdown of the washer, and considerable expense is involved.
It is often the case that the drum shaft is worn, which entails fitting a new drum as well
Take my advice and call it a day, I have done several of these in the past under guarantee, and it takes about 2 hours, and I am experienced in this repair.
Another point to bear in mind is that depending upon when the washer was made, it may have a one piece tub fitted, in which case it is not possible to fit new bearings etc.
Washing machine wont spin
Hiya,
the 1st thing to check on this would be the drive belt most machines have an easy access point at the rear of the machine if you open this you will clearly be able to see the belt comming from the motor to the drum if it is loose or damaged this would stop the machine from spinning..
Always remember to disconnect the power before opening any apliance & a qualified enginer should be considered however this simple check could save you a call out charge & a costly repair bill
Hope this helps
