Showing error code F-08

We let the washer stand for 45 mins then tried to wash again and it washed another 3 times and has not shown the fault since. It is the relay for controlling the heating element and tends to stick when it gets warm.We found that letting it cool for a while and resetting itself it worked again. This might not solve the problem in the long term but it worked for now.The fault shown was F-08
Thank you

Hotpoint wd420

your drive belt runs from the elec motorpully and then round the drum ?? so if yo look at the motor you will see it resembles rather like car alternator ?? and is fitted with a method of adjustment much the same ie a slide adjust bracket ? which you will slacken bolt/nut to enable motor to slide to a point enabling the fitting of belt? then with a suitable imlement? swing(lever )the motor till belt is taught and re tighten adjust bolt/nut also check the pivot mounting bolt/s/nuts are tight hope this helps

Machineflashinf f-05

F05 machine means "Pressure switch jammed"

Try first cutting power to the machine for two minutes, if that reset the code, then the problem was temporary.

If not :

Check if the machine drained, or if water is not being drained.

If drain system works .take off the the lid , locate the switch, it must have a small hose attached.
Remove the rubber hose attached to it, and unlock it by blowing into the hose.

If the water does not drain, this will also cause the pressure switch error.
In this case check the drain hose , and the drain pump.

Finally, ta faulty timer control board can cause the error, you test the control PCB if lid switch and drain system are OK.

H20

According to the Hotpoint error code list H20 indicates to check taps and pressure of incoming water..
So make sure you have adequate pressure of water at the valves, low hot water pressure can cause problems..
Also what I would do would be to check the filter located in the sump hose at the rear of the m/c,\this can leade to a sticking water level s/w..
Hope this helps.
Plz leave feedback.
Thanks.

Keeps filling during wash cycle

If the machine des not stop filling and cycle hang in position, then it is a faulty water level switch.

If the machine does not stop filling , and the cycle goes on, then test that the inlet valve is not stuck in open position, if the inlet valve is OK, replace the timer control assembly.

Error code E11

you will need to check there is water flowing with enough pressure and your hoses are not kinked.
sometimes there is a small filter at the entry to the hose connector which may become limescaled. these may be in the hose or the part of the machine they attach to.

I have a hotpoint model

Sounds like it is not draining, that is why water came out on spin.
You need to check the outlet pipe, and see if there is a blockage anywhere.
Also the pump may not be working.
There is a filter built into the sump hose, you need to remove the back panel to access it, and then remove the large black hose fastened to the bottom of the drum.
In there you will find the filter, remove and clean if required.
Hope this helps, if any further prob, come back to me. Please leave feedback.Thanks.

E15 code showing

E15 is for your drain pipes are clogged. Either from the pump or after the pump. Usually it is something before the pump that is blocking the pump from working correctly. Open the back of the unit and check out all of the hose lines, EVERYTHING. And make sure that you do not have any blokage whatsoever. Once that is done you can try to do a load with really hot water. Usually that is enough to get rid of the rest of the blockage and makes things soft so it runs smoother

Door seal

remove the front retainer, wire/spring affair.
slip the front of the seal off.
seal is held onto drum by a large sprung retainer, remove this by levering it off with a screwdriver.
put the new seal in and it's a case of putting the retainers back. the inside can be made easier with the application of some soapy water in the seals groove that the inner retainer sits in.
good luck as it can be easy or difficult doing the same job.
