Where is the filter and how can I clean it?

Important: Switch the power off from the wall socket and unplug your washing machine first! Remove the bottom panel - you will fint the filter here. Please place a towel in front of the filter to absorb any water.ec966306-632f-4975-a836-ac21ea0cb712.jpgThanks Carolyn, it looks you have a very old model - the bad news is the filter is under the drum. It would be hard to explain here and I don't have this model in the repair shop to send you a photo, but I have found a good video that will show you where the filter is placed, please have a lookhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyXvsbDMkrsHope this helps.?Best,?Dave

Water coming out of soap drawer

Some washing machines, can flood water out of the soap dispenser when a hose gets blocked (usually with un dissolved soap powder) .Water flooding out of the front of a washing machine's soap dispenser can also be an indication of overfilling or a partial pump blockage if it does it when spinning.
Black gunge in the top of the soap dispenser can cause water to spray towards the front and leak. Take out the soap dispenser drawer and look at the roof of the soap dispenser. If it's covered in black gunge, blocking some of the water holes, it could be causing problems. In extreme cases you have to replace the dispenser.

Door keeps flashing

Possible your door has not been shut properly. Open the door and shut again. Or try some WD40 spray on the door of the machine, not on the body, or it could short circuit something. If all this does not work just change the lock mechanism, quoting your model and brand; you could find spares on the net.

Washing machine has blown a fuse and tripped the curcuit breaker

I hate to say this but a blown fuse in that machine wouldnt trip the breaker, so if you turn the breaker on and it stays on until you start the machine the motor is probably shorted and need to be replaced If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_4570d45317834dd3

Program ends before full cycle leaving clothes in

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect. If the inlet valve water pressure is low then the program might take more time and so result in a error. so check inlet valve flow. Also the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Finally check the drain pump, if choked the drain cycle will extend and result in error.

Where is the filter situated

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Machine stopping during washing door

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(no promises but try this!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

Washing machine wont lock

Sounds like you door switch is faulty. You can access this buy either taking the lid off and reaching down the side and removing and changing it or you can remove the wire clip around the door seal and folding it back out of the way and the switch is just there, 2 screws removes it. Should only be about 20 pounds for a new one. Hope this helps
