Maytag ceramic top range
Try a warranty replacement first. Check with an appliance parts company for the price of a new top. Have the make and model number of your range ready. There are online appliance parts companies you can go to to see what the prices are. Just google "appliance parts" and you'll be overwhelmed with the choices you have. It's not the end of the world.

The right rear burner won't turn off!
I first would suspect a faulty knob. Do check to make sure no wires are touching each other shorting themselves and giving constant power to burner.

Buttons melting on the bd42 hotpoint
The same thing happened to my Hotpoint cooker and they replaced it. It happened to the replacement product also. Now they don't want to speak to me. DO NOT BUY HOTPOINT/ whirlpool products. They are very unprofessional . Please don't buy their products. You will regret it
How to stop the beeping and sign. Of bad line on a Hotpoint stove
If your Hotpoint stove is beeping and displaying a "bad line" error, it could be indicating a problem with the electrical connection to the stove. Here are some things you can try to stop the beeping and resolve the error:
- Check the power cord for any damage or fraying. If the cord is damaged, it should be replaced.
- Make sure that the electrical outlet is functioning properly. Test it with another appliance to ensure that it is providing power.
- Check the circuit breaker or fuse for the stove. Make sure that it has not tripped or blown.
- Make sure that the stove is properly grounded. This may require a professional electrician.
- If the error message continues to appear, the problem might be with the stove's internal wiring and it would be best to contact a Hotpoint service agent, who can inspect the stove and determine the cause of the problem.
