what you have to do is ejecting the tape, and as soon as it starts to eject , close the door immediately, then safeguard mode should be gone, and you will be able to eject normally.

1. The drum cannot be started or drum rotation is stopped
because tape transport load is too high.
1) Tape tension is extremely high.
2) The tape is damaged or soiled with grease, etc.

1) Disconnection in the middle of the signal line.
2) Failure of the DRUM FG pulse generator (hall element).
3. No drum control voltage is supplied to the MDA.

Dirty video head! Playback newly opened blank tape for five minutes, after that eject, reinsert, playback then eject again five times, these will serve as your video head cleaner, never use "video head cleaning cassette tape" for it will only damage your camera. the Iris in the optical block is stuck. Need new optical block. Temp fix turn unit upside down and tap bottom this will loosen the iris for a little time.

just check for the loose connections in red and white pins, also check whether the TV has been muted.

Hi, You can only transfer still images (photos) with a USB cable. For video, you need a firewire card and cable. That's the way it works.

Did you figure this out yet? I am needing help with the same item.

The CR2025 Lithium battery, holds the date and time in it's memory and is neccassary for the remote control to work. The CR2025 Type Lithium battery needs replacing. That should sort it. Please rate this solution
