Have check your cassette for some crumpled or damage, if it's is ok, I'm afraid this problem cannot be solve by yourself, there is a problem on the tape transport for sure and it needs skill and instrument, have it check to the expert.

No picture coming thru on lcd monitor

Further research indicates this is a common problem with JVC camcorders.
If it were a car there probably would have been a factory recall. I'm sending it to JVC Service,1500 Lakes Parkway,Lawrenceville,GA 30043 for repair.

Will not play or record, states on screen its in safeguard mode

try reseting the camcorder. most electronics go into safe mode when they detect a major problem so nothing else can go wrong. there should be a small pin hole some where that says reset or take out battery for 30 min. if this dose not work then take it somewhere to have it looked at.

How do I get a cd rom to download to my computer

Remove the CD disc from the camcorder and put in the CD drive on the computer. A windows may open automatically to show you the conmtents of the CD.

If it does not open automatically:
1. Use Windows explorer ... open "My Computer"
2. The CD will probably be listed as Drive D:"
3. Double-click (open) the Drive and each folder that appears on the drive.
4. The viseos will be listed...
5. you can copy (or "drag") these to a folder or your desktop.

Please reply with a comment if you need more information about this...

I am having the same problem PLEASE help!!!

ditch the usb cable and use the firewire. If Vista correctly detects AVC-compliant devices (pretty much EVERY firewire-equipped camcorder on the market!) it should "just work"

Trying to download the still pictures off of my

your camera should have come with an installation cd. This is the program that they want you to use. if you do not have this try downloading it off the internet by typing the kind of camera that you have into the search engine along with installation download. It should send you to a download site or the company web site. If you don't have a computer...write the company I am sure they would be glad to send you a replacement cd

TRYING TO UPLOAD TO COMP.

In order to transfer photos from your camera to your computer, you need to

1- Install the drivers for your camera. The drivers are located in the CD which came with your camera. If you do not have the CD, go to Kodak web site and download the drivers for your cam

2- Connect your cam to your PC.
3- if the drivers are installed correctely, click start, and then the computer icom. There should be an icon with name name of your cam...., double click that and you probably see one or more folders with your save pictures.
4- Now you can copy or cut and past one or more pictures from your camera to your computer. I hope it helps you.
Good Luck!!!!
