C:21:00 is a condensation error. This is usually caused by a failed component in the moisture detection circuitry within the camera and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

I have had this camcorder

This is usually caused by an oxidized, misaligned or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.

Hi,

If the issue persists with all the video tapes and if you're able to hear the video, then the issue may be with the video heads. If the audio ia not hearing and the video is appearing as blue, then the video head and the audio head may be dirty.
In that case, I suggest that you clean the video head with the V8-25CLD video cleaning cassette from any Sony Authorized dealer. Insert the video head cleaning cassette in the Camcorder to resolve the issue. You can repeat the cleaning for few time to get the clear video display.
This should resolve the issue.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Can I connect my sony

Yes you can but how, depends on what computer, what operating system, what cables you have and a lot of other details. Your camcorder has the i.Link DV jack so if you have a PC with a firewire card and you have a firewire cable and you are running Windows XP for example you should be able to do it. The devil is in the details but generally yes it is very possible. I'd have to know what gear you have to tell you what you need to do.

The camcorder has no power

The most likely culprit is the power cord. it is probably not supplying power therefore you have a camcorder with a dead battery. A simple volmeter. will test the output of the charger (should be DC 8.4V 1.5A). If it is not putting out the correct volts Then you van get one from Amazon for like ten bucks. http://www.amazon.com/HQRP-Replacement-compatible-DCR-TRV103-DSR-PD100A/dp/tech-data/B002OVMKE2

Suddenly stopped working and displays error code

From the user manual that I found on the Sony web site (click here), the C:31:nn (where n is any number) error code is a sign of a malfunction within the camera.
They suggest two solutions:

1) Remove the cassette and insert it again, then operate your camera 2) Disconnect the power cord of the AC power adapter and/or remove the battery pack. After reconnecting the power source, operate your camera.

From your description, it would seem that you need to try option 2)
Hopefully this resolves your issue. If you have any questions, please ask.
Thank you for using FixYa and Happy New Year!

It is possible that the camcorder was off use and resulted in drop of values in the servo sections. First of all open the tape door section and do a good cleaning of the audio/control head . See if any dirt had accumulatted onthe heads, be verry careful to clean or use a good quality cleaning tape. Check and see if your old tapes are tight , rewind and forward before playing stored tapes. If this wont solve the choppy playing, thenit is possible that the servo section of the camcorder needs attention. Get help if not familiar as it needs experience to open and probe, but this can also be very expensive. Hope you try the cleaning first. Good day
