best is the recycle center, it and buy only monitors and laptops
2010 or newer, or you get CCFL backlamps again.
the monitor this old has near zero street value, and repair costs are huge, nobody puts $1000 saddle on a $5 15 year old horse,
The CCFL panel can cost $100 and 1 to 2x that for labor

Screen resolution for LG 194wt
Hi, Afraid the only operating system now is windows 10 on any PC unless your using a Mac system. Once you upgrade to windows 10, everything will automatically set everything correct for you & you will be surprised how it will speed up your system! this is the best Microsoft release operating system they have ever made. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.
Computer screen goes into "digital power saving mode"
You should be able to adjust the settings on the monitor to prevent it from going into power save mode, or at least to delay how long it takes before it goes into power save mode. Press the menu button and look for settings that might disable or change power save mode.
Also, does your desktop/PC display show anything before the monitor goes into power save mode? If nothing comes up, its possible that you have a loose VGA connection or that your video card/motherboard are defective in some ways. Try using a different monitor.
If the other monitor works fine with your computer, try changing/lowering the screen resolution. If in XP right-click on the desktop and go to Properties, and select the tab for display settings and adjust the resolution. If in Vista/Win7, right-click the desktop and select Screen Resolution/Display Settings and adjust it there. Then check and see if your newer monitor works on it.
If the other monitor also doesn't show any display, most likely the problem is either with your video cable or your PC's video card/motherboard, not the monitor.
Hope that helps. Good luck

Lg 1752s goes into power saving mode when pc is turned on
Hello Alan,That is actually not power saving mode, the flashing power light indicates the power supply is not starting up correctly and keeps shutting down and trying again. This is a very common symptom of a failure of the capacitors on the power supply board. The L1752s uses the AIP0157 power supply board which is the same board the is used in several LG monitors such as the L196WTQ and L194WT. Here is a link to a repair guide for the L196WTQ that shows what capacitors to look for and replace on the power supply board to bring the unit back to life.

How to set brightness,contrast and
Hi
If you look carefully you should find the settings controls for the monitor are near the power button. There is a Menu button to enter the settings control panel and then direction keys to scroll and navigate through the options for each setting and then an Enter or the Menu key to activate changes. Menu or navigigating to Exit followed by Enter or Menu to close the Control Panel.
Experimenting a short while with the buttons will soon help you familiarize yourself with them.
Hope this helps
