You have to press the fn+f5 I think in your laptop. It is the same when you are using a projector.

you can have that tv checked at the work shop. the final output is gone, what is playjng is just a pre amp. try and have this checked a final ic is not okey.

this means your power inverter inside the monitor is dead. This little gizmo lights up the monitor backlight. They dont fail all at once, but slowly die and give problems like you describe, you can order these online for your monitor , or find one on ebay for under 30 dollars, but unfortunately there is no fix, other than replacing the inverter. sorry. You may have a failed back light inverter board, inspect the fuse (Fxx) on the board to see if it is OK, or the inverter board may not be getting the 12vdc feeding it.

Well, Most montiors have a standered adapter Which you can get from almost any good online store, maby say what the socket looks like most are 3 pin sockets..

sound does not come from the monitor it comes from the computer. try hooking your speakers up there

It all depends if the Mag has been used before on the same system or it is a new installation or on a different computer.

• If it is connected to an existing set-up and has been used previously, then possibly it is the computer's video card/memory or just not booting. Alternately, it could be the video interface/main board of the monitor or even possibly the cable;
• If it is just being installed on a known good computer, then it could be that the screen resolution and/or the screen refresh rate of the display properties of the computer needs to be lowered down.

I would think that the monitor is the issue, especialy that in safe mode it still does not function properly!

The fault with the monitor may be in the scan amplifier circuits, and or the power supply.

When I used to service these, I found many times that there were defective electrolytic capacitors in the scan amplifier sections and the power supply that gave problems.

This type of repair is time consuming, and when out of warranty it may not be worth the cost.

I would be seriously considering an LCD monitor.

I can’t find where the AC power cord plugs in on the back of the monitor. Answer There are two places where the AC connector could be found.
1. Look at the back of the monitor right next to the signal cable connection.
2. If the signal cable does not detach from the monitor, follow the signal cable to the end, and you will see the 15 pin D-Sub connector (blue connector). There you will find a small hole with a pin inside (in between the two notches).
