Will not charge battery or camara what could it be?
Hi,
if the battery is much old, it should be replaced, if the charger is good, must open and check the cam with a multi tester to confirm the voltage is correct.there are some small fuses in side check the continuity of it, replace the faulty.

Hmmmm well I wonder if you aren't being a tad unfair, we must have more faith in professionals that we use to repair our equipment. IF you have taken it to an authorised service center that actually deals and repairs these items as a matter of course, i would take what is stated as gospel. Most often professionals do NOT need to hide behind fabrications of the truth?In any event from what you say this indeed does seem OK, and is quite reasonable actually, in my shop it would cost about the dame if not slightly more! In reality that under $300.00 repair is quite low in the big scheme of things this is why, these days replacement is a better option, in nearly all cases unfortunately.May I add that just because the customer "Thinks" that they have "Sussed" the problem in actuality may NOT be correct and often the most seemingly simplest problems are indeed quite bad. I say have more faith in the people you use> If you want satisfaction one MUST take any repair to the authorised service centers, usually one recommended by the manufacturer or agent, simply contact them and ask for a referral and go from there, as usual ONLY ever first ask for a "Quote".

you can't direct copy to disk (if you not finished the session) in 98% you home DVDPlayer can't play this. Try to make DVDVideo disk with the help of special program(Nero Ashampoo etc) Or maybe you get some soft with your camera (it will be useful too)

Hi - You have to install the USB driver for Windows BEFORE you attach the camera. If you attach the camera before you install the driver the driver will be broken and not work. If you did attach the camera before the driver installation you will have to remove the driver and then reinstall it then attach the camera via USB. It doesn't make a lot of sense but Sony is very emphatic about these directions.
Hopefully you have the drivers because they don't seem to be available from the Sony support website anymore.
