My flatron L1710S flat screen will not come out

I switch on my PC, ensuring that all cables, leads and power supplies are connected properly. The tower powers up no problems at all. I switch the screen on, the green led lights up, the screen is completely black. A blue box appears centrally on the screen with the text 'power saving mode'. The green led light turns amber and then the screen just goes black.

Please don't suggest going to control panel, as I can't get that far.

PLEASE PLEASE CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ANYTHING give me

When i'm on my tft it show the disply suddly sceren goes on dark .

That shows that your monitor has failing capacitors. Capacitors in a monitor are responsible for holding down the power from the supply so for a proper display on your monitor! What happens is that when you switch on your monitor, the capacitors hold power enough for a normal display on your monitor. This means there are failing capacitors in your monitor. The only solution to this is to replace bulged or burst capacitors. You can get a Computer Technician to do this for you or you can do it for yourself. Open up the monitor using a sharp flat tool (knife or anything like that) starting from the bottom, working your way round to the top. You will notice the finger-like plastic clips that hold up the two sides together. On the circuit board where the power supply is connected, that is where you are going to find the capacitors. Check for any bulged-head capacitor. Replace the capacitors with the same type of capacitors (for example 1000u 10v). Make sure when replacing it to note the plolarity (+ or -)

I switch on my PC,

First of all check your VGA cable is working or not.

If VGA cable is ok than do the following steps.
  1. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer.
  2. Disconnect the computer's power cord from the AC power source (wall outlet or power adapter).
  3. Remove the computer cover.
  4. Locate the battery on the board (see figure below).
  5. With a medium flat-bladed screwdriver, gently pry the battery free from its connector. Note the orientation of the "+" and "-" on the battery.
  6. Wait for 1 to 5min then re-place the battery back again.
  7. Re-place the computer cover.
  8. Plug the computer and all devices back in.

Second step you can do is
1) Remove the RAM from the RAM bank clean it properly and insert it back again.

If still you are facing the same problem ... you can Remove the CPU fan and put some cooling paste on top of CPU and re-place the FAN back.

When i switch on the computer, the only thing that

Im assuming the monitor worked OK until now. The two things I can think of is, First is the cable from the monitor to the computer is either not connected tight either on the monitor side or the computer. The second thing I can think of is a bad video card. I think the monitor is ok because your getting the power save mode on the screen.

I hope this helps you out, if it does please leave me some positive feedback.

My monitor LG flatron when

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed LG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Power on power led blinking

Hello.

The LED blinking light usually means that the attached PC is not powered on or the VGA connector (end of cable connected from the monitor to the PC) on the monitor, the cable or the VGA port on the PC is faulty.

Try your monitor on another computer. If it works, there is a problem with your PC. If it doesn't work, the VGA connector, the monitor's VGA cable or the monitor itself, is faulty.

Hope this helps.

My LG Flatron 1710S computer

This is a common issue, the power supplies in LCD monitors fail prematurely. (if your monitor has an internal power supply) , Double check all your power connections, but it sounds like the internal supply is toast, (its a simple capacitor replacement to fix, but cost to do this job seems to always outweigh a new monitor purchase) sorry to be the bearer of bad news.If you find my answer helpful albeit poor news, please use the thumbs up feedback.
