If you can't remember either one it will probably be better if you just opened a new account.IF however you created an alternative account when you opened the account you can't access there are solutions at least with Yahoo and Google.

My packard bell monitor keeps presenting a blank

Try this for starters. Shut down the computer like you normally do. Next turn it on and while its booting up press the F8 key(keep tapping it). You should get a menu and on that menu, one of the choices is Safe mode. Select it and press enter. This will boot your computer into a Diagnostic mode where you can troubleshoot hardware software and windows problem in general. If you successfully get into safe mode answer yes to the question it asks and then goto your Device manager..you can get there by rightclicking the mycomputer icon and select properties from the drop down menu then select the Hardware tab on top.and click DEVICE MANAGER. In this screen look for your display adapter..higlight your graphics adapter and right click...then select uninstall...now reboot your computer normally this time dont press the f8 key..gointo WIndows normally. This should reinstall your graphics card and possibly fix the problem.

Monitor screen keeps jumping up and down

Hi,

Download and install the most recent driver for both your graphics card and your monitor from the respective manufacturer's websites.

You will most often find these under "support". You will have to know the exact make/model for both to find the right drivers.

Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

The screen only shows no signal when i switch on

This means it is not receiving a signal from the computer. Check to make sure the cable is tightly connected to your computer and to the monitor. If it is, then the video card on your computer is bad and needs to be replaced.

On / Off switch problem

March 23 2007 This problem is now resolved and the monitor fixed and working. For reference - it was nothing to do with the ON/OFF switch at all. The Power Supply / Inverter PCB had two duff capacitors. These were replaced and BINGO - a working unit. For other reference - had absolutely NO assistance from any of the users of the various Forums I tried - NO suggestions - NO nothing. I remember my Grandfather once saying "You get nothing for nothing in this world lad" Not even advice - He was right.
