That error code is telling you hey i've got a mechanical problem because when the microprocessor tells me to move the mode switch is suppose to send signals back to the processor to let the mechanism know where its at and in this case the processors not getting the right codes or signals so it wont let you use it, and thats why it will eject if a tape is inserted. Now unless you have all the special tools ,jigs and adaptors to repair this including a service and a mechanism manual you really should take this unit in as there are really no serviceable parts inside for the consumer to replace. Hi,
If your laptop has DV / IEEE1394 port then connect camcorder by IEEE1394/ DV cable to get its video playback digital signal and save it on laptop.
In my opinion, easiest way is to hook camcorder with stand alone dvd recorder either by DV cable or Audio Video analog cable and burn dvd in dvd recorder directly, then put that dvd in computer/ laptop to edit it.

It happens with me quite a lot. i just means that the disc is full and it takes a bit longer to load up. hope this helps

there may have been a spring that pulled on a tab in these places that will unlock the the tape , and if is not unlocking it will go back to close position

dont know if its the same model as mine but mine has a small sliding focus switch underneath the view finder if you tilt the viewfinder up you may find it it may look like the clip that locks the viewer down but it slides side to side .regards norman

tape loader is bad. try banging the cam when tape is inside to try to realign

check if wires are good/bad

Based on the specs of your product yes you can as long as you have IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) or a Video capture card like an ATI all in wonder or just a plan old capture card for the use of S-Video or Composite capture. Unless you have a laptop the your probably only going to have the IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) option either through the one on the laptop or by way of PCMCIA Firewire for a laptop. Next you'll need the fire wire cable to go from one to the other. Make sure you gt the right combo on the end either (4pin to 4pin) or (4pin to 6pin) etc. Lastly you need some software to record like Vegas Video, Adobe Primere, or other **** programs. There are free programs out there too.

Just follow the instruction of which ever program you choose, and just record.

Do you have a remote? Some camcorders you have to hit the record pause button on the remote and then hit pause. It then begins recording. I hope this works for you.

hi, I wish you wouldve given us more details regarding the kind of distortion you get on the LCD screen. if objects kinda fuzz out, it can be related to worn headdrum, i.e. worn heads. The heads are tuned with the input-capacitance of the PB-amplifier on the white-frequency of the recorded RF(is in FM with high frequencies on white) . The wear of the heads will decrease their inductance so the tuned frequency is going up.The video-amplifier and demodulator circuits can`t compensate it. Another reason can be a misaligned FM modulator( frequencies for black and white are not set correctly). Finally the AVC of the camera itself can be faulty. The guiding posts will never cause such problem but their setscrews tends to get loose. Tighten them carefully. Good luck
