Does it overfill and stop or did you need to cut the water supply off to the unit?

OK, you will need to replace the "defrost thermostat" that is located on the coils in the freezer. Here is the part to order. If that was the problem before, the repair tech sold you a part you didn't need. I can't stand service techs that do that! Anyways, keep me posted.

You will need to replace the temperature sensor that is located behind the back freezer wall. Here is the part you need.

Unplug the refrigerator, remove the relay from the compressor and give it a shake. If it rattles, it is bad and needs to be replaced. Here is that part. But, since you said the fan was not running I suspect the control board is bad. Here is a link to that part also.Keep me posted as to your findings.

Replace the condensor fan motor. It is a cheap and quick fix and will keep your compressor from burning up. here is a link to the motor.

The coils in the freezer are probably freezing up. Do you have ice buildup in the back of the freezer? I would replace the "defrost limiter thermostat". Here is a link to the part you need.Here is a video to show you how to replace it. This is a different model but the process is the same.

Could you just remove the handles and see if it will fit?

I would check the main board for signs of stress. i found a relay that had a loose solder joint on the compressor relay. After soldiering that she came to life. I had to remove the main board to do it. All of the connections are are not the same so you cannot screw up the re install. the main board is located in the rear of the machine under an access panel. your ptc overload on your compressor has gone out and needs replacement,locate the compressor and unplug the overload off the compressor and take it to an appliance parts place and purchase the correct replacement ptc overload and plug it back in and your good to go

Look on the rear wall and see if a layer of frost is building.
