Where to find lens cap

Not sure where you are located, but we have several used lens caps for that camcorder. You can get our phone number from our website, if you have not found one yet.

Hope this helps.

I have ZR25MC. it's about 8 to 10 years old.

Canon no longer repairs the ZR25MC. It is on there list of discontinued service items. However, I do, as long as the image sensor is good. This part is no longer available from any source. I have a supply of parts in stock and would be happy to take a look at the camera for you.

Tape stuck in camcorder

The way I can get a tape unjammed on my Sony camera is to remove the battery, plug the camera into the AC charger that is plugged into the wall outlet. Then power the camera on, wait a few seconds. Then unplug the charger from the outlet, wait a few more seconds (camera still in "on" position) and then plug it back in. I have used this method at least 3 times to get the camera to release the tape.

Camera wrinkles tapes

try opening the camera and removing the tape.

Are the reel motor tops OK? Does it look like they seat inside the cassette properly or are the tops at a silly angle or missing?

Look at the mech in particular at the tape path. Is there a buildup of muck on any of the posts, head, pinch roller etc?

Clean this off with IPA alcohol on a cotton bud and leave to dry 1st before trying another tape

Playback looks like shooting through horizontal blinds

It could be a head adjustment or it could be the CCD unit. It should be taken in for repair to find the cause.

ZR25MC, DV tape can't be ejected.

The best way to get it out is take it to a camera shop of Best Buy. They didn't put a manual eject on the player. If you take it into a shop they should know what to do.

Once it's out clean the heads with a DV tape cleaner.

Try changing the CR2025 cell beneath the battery. Also, I have had problems when the battery on my remote got low and sent odd signals, Try changing those or just removing them, unlss the remote was nowhere near the camcorder.

Little green squares appear in video playback

Had the same problem, usually when trying to upscale video ! Try reducing size of video on laptop when using transfer software, see if that helps. With my aged laptop, problem seems to be because my laptop has an extremely slow processor chip, and it just can't keep up with the video ! The software I use, which is free, is Freemake Video Convertor, which gives you a choice of output formats and sizes.
