Hi,Depends on the type of video, what system you are running, and how much storage space you have. Check the documentation that came with your camcorder. It probably also came with software.Hope this helps.Randy

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. HAVE NOT USED THE CAMCORDER FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. IT MECHANISM MOVES IN AND OUT BUT WILL NOT OPEN UP TO PUT A TAPE IN. VERY FRUSTRATING.

This can be caused by several problems including a defective eject switch in the cameras internal circuitry or a bad motor. What you are seeing is a warning icon that means the back up battery is either depleted or missing. this battery is usually located in the battery compartment under a removeable cover.

This is usually caused by an oxidized, misaligned or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.
