Hi kellyhubble,
The F1 error code shows a defective membrane. To determine which component is at fault, disconnect ribbon strip. If NO fault code, replace membrane, otherwise replace board.
Hope it helps.

I hav a gas electric ignite system.all 4 burners
Hello, would you happen to have the model number of your range? As to what could be the issue why your unit is not lighting it could be each individual ignitor or it could be the spark modulator in the unit is not sending the spark to the ignitors. You could also have a break in one of the wires that goes from the control to the switch or, you could also have a bad switch that has arced closed preventing the flow of electricity from traveling past the first switch as most switches are wired in a chain from one to the next. You will need a multimeter and to be able to perform tests measureing the flow of current as well as be able to perform continuity tests on the switches as well to assure that they are functioning properly. A question if you were to use a lighter to light the burners does the burner light and if it does does the flame travel around each of the burners as well the reason I ask this is sometimes carbon can build up on a burner preventing the burners from lighting. If you have any further questions message me back and I await your reply Thanks Rick
Magic Cheff gas kitchen range oven and broiler
Hello thats great that you get an orange glow out of the ignitor but it still could be faulty. You would need a multimeter that can measure amperes or an ampere meter an ignitor is supposed to draw between 3 - 3.3 amps any less then this would constitute a weak ignitor and you would have to replace the ignitor. My personal opinion is that yours is most likely drawing around 2 amps which is way to low and that is why it is taking so long for the flame to ignite. If after you perform the ampere test you find that your ignitor is functioning at the specified amounts then message me back for further diagnosis. Thanks I await your reply

Hello, my Magic Chef S64D
there is a thermocouple sensor located in the roof area of the oven and controls the bake portion, its a thin bulb about 4"-6" long hooked to,depending the age of the unit a copper line going to the bake/broil control on the control panel, the newer units have an electrical plug behind the oven cavity and you just unplug this sensor and replace the sensor unit which connects to the control center unit

THE RANGE WILL NEED TO BE SOMEWHAT TAKEN APART TO ACCESS THE INSULATION.
NORMALLY THERE ARE SREWS THAT CAN BE REMOVED TO DO THIS. THEN THE INSULATION CAN BE REMOVED AND NEW INSTALLED. AN APPLIANCE REPAIR PERSON CAN DO THIS. - -SORRY, IT MAY BE DIFFICULT FOR ANYONE OTHER THEN A SERVICE PERSON.

MY FLAT STYLE OVEN IGNITER
Maycor (Magic Chef's parent company) uses a single style of ignitor to replace just about all 'flat type' Magic Chef oven ignitors, regardless of physical size. The actual color of the ignitor's ceramic base can vary from time to time and will usually be white or a light brown.
An ignitor that has a rounded body or has a blue colored ceramic base is special and needs the proper replacement.
If an older model range originally used a longer 7¼" oven ignitor, an exact replacement for that size is still available but now only from other manufacturers. It is up to the individual whether to use the shorter OEM replacement or use an exact size replacement from an alternate supplier
A quick search on Ebay shows a few parts available, if you cant find the right part straight away then set up a search notifier that will email you with new results when they appear.
My oven doesn't heat up
Hi
The issue can either be a bad door switch/lock assembly or the oven temperature sensor (probe) itself that has gone bad. To solve this issue start by checking the oven temp. sensor for 1100 ohms, if the rating is more then that then check the control and door switch and replace the part that is bad. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
