Compressor Overload and relay may be bad. Those are the parts that plug into side of compressor. If not that, then most likely compressor is bad.

There is not a lot that you can do to clean any more. If there is a hose from the drip pan to the evap coil you can see if that has any debris in it. Otherwise you are limited to using Clorox cleanup to wipe everything and then put baking soda in the unit with the just the lid off the box to absorb the odor. Keep in mind that there is not air flow THROUGH a refrigerator They seal to keep the cold in. So any odors that are in it cannot be expected to go away with the unit being used, like leaving the door open etc. That is why you need to use baking soda to absorb.

Sound like the defrost timer. Just get unit info and grab a new one and replaced. They are very simple to do
