When ours came off (broke off actually) I just got a new one and screwed it in place. Take a look - it may be that it broke along a joint line (ours did) and you can't see that.

you may have something rapped around the impellers of the circulation pump causing low water pressure. the unit will start and stop to try to clear the blockage. if the circulation pump is really jammed the inlet/drain light will light. it could be a faulty pressure switch but they are not common to fail.
Sounds like your drain pump is clogged. Call Miele service support 800-999-1360 they will provide free step by step instructions to open and clear the drain from inside the bottom of the dishwasher tub. Have the model and serial number ready because they keep a record of everything.
Hi - if its flashing rapidly then there a unrecognized hardware issue -if on permanently - it could be the float switch inside the salt container is not working/jammed - of course theres no salt in the dishwasher container..
It could be a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Miele have a safety float switch in the bottom of the machine. (The float is a polystyrene disc). If the machine leaks for any reason, then the water sits in the bottom tray raises the float switch & all your dishwasher will do is activate the drain pump and flash those red lights at you. The reason is that somewhere under the machine there is a leak that needs to be investigated & repaired so in this instance I'm affraid that you will have to call a serviceman.

Hi.The problem is either because the spring supporting the door half way up is broken or because the spring must be adjusted.First perform a door spring adjustment procedure as explained at page 28 in chapter 10 of the Installation Manual.Here Miele installation manual for the G660. Intake/Drain light flashing means an issue while
draining. You would need to check for air gap on the dishwasher, it may be
clogged. It prevents dishwasher from draining, sometimes the drain flow is
restricted due to gunk. Cleaning or bypassing the air gap will resolve the
issue. If this doesn't resolve the issue then it is due to seized (or stuck)
drain pump. Disconnect the power to the dishwasher or turn off the breaker to
the dishwasher. Tip machine on its back; remove screws that hold the bottom tray
on. Remove the hoses to the main motor, remove electrical connections &
remove motor (single screw holds motor, it is on the outside back of the
machine). Try to rotate the motor (use WD40 is necessary). If you cannot rotate
it, then motor will be required. If the error still appears then cancel the
error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press
the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Switch the appliance off
and then back on again. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more

pull your machine out so can be tilted backwards - the 2 legs in the rear are longer ones & there are normally 4 mounts for the front 2 closest to the front and sides, the other 2 you will find at the corners of that bottom plate and in line with the 2 back ones..
Hi there - possible the inlet valve is blocked or faulty - have a look at the valve if its blocked first if not then the inlet valve is faulty... the problem is the G638 has 2 inlets - one is the the waterproof syatem with a large grey contration fitted to the tap, the other is located beneath the machine , a bit hard to get at...
will require a disconnection of services empty water from machine - tilt on the back - 4 screws on the bottom tray - here you will find the valve - should be located on the frontish right side..
Do be careful if you pursue the latter as its a delicate with little space to work with and costly if you break something else in the process...
Have a think about this first...Yes? then do remeber to disconnect the power.....
Hi - question for you - is the display showing either F06-F07? or is the inlet/drain led flashing rather fast? ...
In all cases these are the areas that needs to be looked at- check the inlets for any blockages & your H2O pressure is good.
Likely faulty components in the order I would check - inlet valve is the 1st, the coil is most likely to be burnt, not sure which part of the world you are - this could be either 110V/220V ac. If however a little H2O spurts then stops then it could well be the flowrate monitor thats at fault and both has to be accessed from the front & bottom of the dishwasher.
Someimes the due to water not drainning on start up then, it could be a blockage to the drain system.
By this I mean when the Mieles are switched on & started the drain will always start 1st before the cycles would initiate.
Hi - its possiblily the following issues if its flashing rapidly then the electronic module maybe faulty. The other possibilties are the float switch inside the salt conatner is jammed or the reed switch for the float switch in the salt container does work.
the pump is blocked, need to remove the trays, drain plg, the gauze, scoop the water out as much as possible, thge thers a plastic hosing with a spring clip on top, remove this to unblock the pump. assemble & should be good to go.
