Miele G 646 SC, Leaking.?

The dishwasher must be removed from the counter so you can gain access to the pump. I would check with a parts supply company first to see if the pump is still available, and the cost. It may be too expensive to repair a dishwasher that old. Removing the dishwasher is not very hard. Turn off the electrical breaker. detach the DW from the counter. Pull out. disconnect the water supply and drain. disconnect power supply if required.

All lights flashing

Try powering off the machine using the main power switch for at least 10 seconds, then power back after holding down the top solo and start/stop simultaneously. You may need to check the drainage pipe and water inlet for blockages. Under the filter inside, you can remove part of the drainage system by removing the silver clip and pulling on the plastic segment. Wash this through, it has a lovely ball bearing inside, but don spend too long wondering how big it is. Big it is. Check the tubes, for kinks etc... Always disconnect the water supply before detaching the inlet, and be prepared for a mess, if you do decide to remove the drainage outlet pipe. G 646 sc pump still runs when programme is off

Hi,I had the same problem, the drain pump kept working even on the off program. After a little investigation i found out that there is a leak sensor that triggers the drain pump continually until it does not "sense" water anymore.Firstl i tried to open the rear panel with no success.Next i tilted the dishwasher to the left and let all the water drain out, plugged the dishwasher back to electricity and it worked!!!I hope it will help you.

Miele G646 SC plus I wish to remove the right

Hi - if i rember correctly on the sides front top panel is a plastic bung, pop this off and you would see the screws inside - oly problem is most of the later Mieles have torqx screws - anyway if you succeed the gently lift front & push backwards - the top will come off.

But the best ways is to empty the washer of water pull it away from the cabinets disconnect everything.

Lie the silly thing on its back on the bottom will be 4 screws normally this will drop the bottom panels & makes it easier for you to work on the machine.

According to the parts manual this would have a waterproof inlet valve system - typical design for Mieles.

JUST BE CAREFUL - Mieles are excellent machines, try not to damage other components - perhaps the leaks is coming from some other - Miele parts are as costly as the purchase prices.

Hope to see how you get on...

The turbothermis grill emits water

Hi

The issue is with the water not draining as something might be blocking the drain pump assembly thus the water is leaking. To solve this issue you'll have to take the front lower access panel out and then clean the drain pump assembly completely, also clean the impeller and chopper assembly located at the bottom of the unit. After this is done the issue should be resolved, if not then check the float switch mechanism and make sure that is fine. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Hello, I have a problem

hello andy..... On many dishwashers, a plastic actuator arm mechanically links the timer to the detergent cup. When the timer reaches the proper time in the cycle, the timer activates a lever that opens the detergent cup. If the linkage is broken or defective, the cup stays closed after you've closed it. Check the link and repair or replace it, as necessary.

Our Miele dishwasher has started to make a noise

And do you get a pool of water on the floor when you open the door and the fan drains out? If so, then you have the Miele problem.

This happens every year or two. Take off the outside front panel to access the hose that runs from the bottom of the fan down to the dispenser, and lets the water drain out through it to the interior. Clean out that hose as well as you can. Replace. This is a stupid problem that Miele should have a permanent fix for. Grrrr.

In fact I just did this with mine today. The hose cleans out quickly, the problem is getting the front back on. 4 hands make it easier. It slips on when you start close to vertical, then slip in in and down. For putting the screws back in, you might have to use a micro screwdriver to re-align the little clips on the door panel. (You will see what I mean when you do it!) This costs a service call ($100, give or take) to call for service. It can be done at home with no added parts. I think it applies to all Miele dishwashers, and I have now done it several times. As I said before, this is a design fault and should not be necessary!

PS: I still have the puddle on the floor, so am trying again only 3 days later! But this has worked before.

There is water residue on

Depending on the residue, it is most likely poor rinse aid, or old detergent. If the water isn't hot enough you will consistently have this problem. If the residue won't come off, then you have a water softness issue and you need to use less detergent and a detergent with the highest phosphorous content you can buy.

When door is opened a

Hello,

Welcome to Fixya.

The issue is likely just the blower and housing drain hose blocked with "dirt" from time & use.

First things first...**turn off the power via the breaker at your home service panel...safety first**

Yes, you will need to take the door panel off ( watch those edges they are VERY sharp ) and unfasten the control panel as well, the screw`s are around the perimeter of the door facing the dishwasher tub opening.

Once you have the panel off, you will then unscrew the round part surrounding the vent fan inside the door ( it turns about 1/4 turn counter-clockwise ) the fan motor assembly can be pulled off the door and cleaned out.

You should now remove the small rubber drain line from the fan to the tub which is routed inside the door panel & clean it out as it too gets plugged hence, not allowing the condensation to run back into the tub to be pumped out so when you open the door it pours onto your floor.

Hope you find that helpful. Let me know how you make out or if you require further assistance.

Thanks for visiting "FixYa" for your repair questions. Please take a moment and rate the solution provided here for you.

Good luck.

Inlet drain light on and no drainage

Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You shouldNEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.
