Error code F53 on Miele is a speed sensor fault.
It has detected the drum speed to be wrong at some point and has indicated the problem to you.
Have you tried unplugging it. That will reset the computer.
If it's not coming up again after unplugging it, I'd not worry about it.
If it is coming up every time you use it, then you have either a faulty sensor, motor or pcb.
Miele are extremely secretive with information on their appliances and this makes it hard to diagnose accurately faults on them.

Hi ,it could be a blocked or seized up drain pump. You can try and clean the pump ,it normally works.

Good morningFrom what you described it could be that your drain hose is cracked since it is bending on the inside of the machine when you push it in after draining the water.An other possibility could be a clamp failing or th connector on the drain pump that is cracked.To solve the problem would be to dissmantel the machine to assess the machine on the in side for any devects.One other thing to check for is the plug on the end of the drain hose,is it a tight fit because it it could be leaking at the plug.If you think it is not tight enough use a cable tie to tighten it and see if the leak will stop.

Also look for a fuse on the board. Sometimes they put a simple fuse on the board that goes out and the repairman replaces it with a whopping bill to boot.

First thing i would do if it is not selecting a different cycle is take the knob off and check to if the inside of the knob is broken and hust turning on the shaft, other then that it proberly is electronic replacement.

You need to replace the water inlet valve. It's where the water hose connects to the washer. When it doesn't seal good it will leak. It can be caused by sediment in the water or wear of the valve. The hot and cold are all one piece.

check drain pump for damage or clog.
