could be a heat problem. remove the back cover and check to insure the prcessor id getting proper ventilation. the heat sink may be covered with dust.

did you change the little inverter board? check your brightness by pushing Fn key and left, or right arrow buttons.

you need to remove and install the battery. Some times this works first try others may take a few trys. Mine does the same thing. Good luck

Download or get a memory test utility that boots from some device (a floppy, flash drive or CD-ROM) that your PC can read. Run that test to confirm the installed memory is good/compatible. Loose memory modules and PC boards can be zapped just by touching the connector pins while you handle them. During removal or installation you have to frequently touch the machine's frame or wear an ESD strap before handling the module, to prevent this.

Found my solution. Was under keyboard. Required opening laptop as far as possible, removing 3 screws from the back that hold the piece of plastic just above the keyboard. With flathead screwdriver lift the right corner of the plastic piece then, with the same screwdriver lift the top center of the plastic piece to remove the piece entirely. Unscrew the 4 screws that hold the keyboard (across the top) and lay they keyboard forward (toward you). THERE is the Ram.

does rebooting fix the issue? if so it could be a driver issue.

However I believe its probably a loose ribbon cable. It happens from time to time, the cable eventually loosens up. If your mechanically inclined you can open up the laptop and secure the cable. However if you have never opened up a laptop, theres a good chance you will break a piece of plastic as they are fragile and force must be used in the correct places.
