you cant do that. tell me how to test a MOBO charger CHIP with no battery nor a shorted ,dead or faulting battery.??? you can't . does PC run on line power (yes/no)? why not state that first. battery OUT. this is test one on all battery powered PCs battery out test. never seen any 6 year old battery good, it be like world record that. so 15bucks too much to get it on battery, do you even need a battery? (I do for travel only) do you. then why travel with a 6 year old battery knowing full well it will fail just when you need it most,, why do that? as one small example. in any case , the battery is not even sold in your town. most are not. and takes week to get one. in most cases (vast types exit) do be aware the pc can run perfect on a/c and not even with a new good battery if the chip charger fails, as they sure can. and is near impossible to get that very tiny solderball chip out. and 10x harder back in, need photos? have them doing it. using spec. equipment.

ok to rare but try to make a two partitions , when you install xp shows an partition option , make one partitions to 40gb and the other 120 gb and try , yo can do this form windows but be sure that you have all your documents save like backup , many programs on line you can find on line for do this , just search in google, a program that i recomend is partition magic easy to use

Probably what you should do first is download Malware Bytes and do a quick scan/clean of your system to make sure there is no malicious code on it.

Beyond that (if the machine tests clean) post your results and/or a list of the processes that are running so that we can further assist. Also, if you are currently running any anitivirus programs please post what kind.

dude usb 2.0 was released way back... i believe the necessary drivers have not been installed... you better go to device manager and try updating the drivers... it would have option to check online... post here if u need more help...
