You will probably have to delete the driver from the driver property page. Then reboot the computer. Then make sure there's no driver listed. Then select up the driver. Select that you have the driver. Find a driver. Install.

Desktop PCs use a battery to keep time when the they are off, much like a watch. Like a watch, the battery needs to be replaced when it runs low on power. Replace the battery using the steps below.

1. Unplug all cables except for the power. Write down each cable location if you do not already know where it connects.
2. Unplug the power cable and with the power cable removed press the Power button on the front of the PC.
3. Remove the screws on the rear of the PC.
4. Slide the side panel off from the rear of the PC.
5. Locate the battery. It is a small shiny round metal wafer (like a larger version of a watch battery).
6. Remember which direction the battery is installed. Usually the engraved side, the positive side, is face up. Remove the battery from the main board.
7. Acquire the battery and replace it in the same socket it was removed from. Make sure the new battery is installed in exactly the same orientation as the previous battery. (Warning: There is danger of explosion if the battery is not correctly replaced. Replace only the same or equivalent type of battery.
8. Replace a side panel by matching the side panel tabs with the tab openings in the case.
9. Connect all cables and turn on the PC to set the time.

Is the fan working? If not replace it. You'll have to take the laptop apart to get to the fan and while you're inside of it you might as well have a can of compressed air to blow dust out the vents, around the fan and around the heat sink and cpu. Also you could put a fresh coat of Thermal Paste on the CPU and Heat Sink. A non working fan, dust and Thermal Paste that has dried up or is too thin will all cause overheating.You could buy a cooling pad that plugs into the usb port and the laptop sits on it to keep it cool for under $20.Try Tiger Direct at:http://www.tigerdirect.com when the site opens put Laptop Cooling Pad in the white search box at the top and press GO. When you plug in the power cord is there any lights whatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of the power cord? When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear the DvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for a second or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, but the screen is not showing for some reason. Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with the laptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issue when you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problem is with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and take note of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short). Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoever when you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you was operating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cord is bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the power cord is bad. Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the battery out) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can put the battery back in and let it charge.

This is not good, remove the hard drive and reseat it back in place, sometimes that is enough to get it going, if no change! the hardware may be open and if that has been determined you will need a new hard drive.

Even though it is a wireless connection sometimes you need to connect it to the printer to set up the wireless function. then follow the instructions for setting up the printer.
