HP PSC 2355v All-In-One InkJet Printer Questions & Answers
I have 2355v all in one . It jams the paper
1st: make sure you change the printer setting to suit. If you don't, printer won't know what paper that you are using and it will print under default setting, as a result, paper will get jam because photo paper can be glossy and thicker and regular paper. You can check setting under control panel, printer properties. Make sure to set the right paper type and if yours paper not on the list, choose the closet match.
2nd: paper comes in different thickness and weight, make sure you choose the right one, too thick paper will cause the issue, it is very common. put paper in tray, make sure no worn paper, and all 4 corner of paper are flat and try again.
3rd: can you perform printer maintenance? it should be one the printer features on printer. Have you try on different type of photo paper to see if it works?
"Avoid cheap Chinese photo paper sold at supermarkets and junk shops, it's mostly rubbish" quoted from Internet.
Let me know if I can further help.
Thanks
What is the problem with
Does any other information come up with the error code? Some 0x errors can be resolved by removing the ink cartridges and resetting the printer.
Disconnect the data cable from the printer (and the computer - optional but often helpful). With the unit on, remove the ink cartridges, then wait until the message "Insert Ink Cartridges" is displayed on the LCD panel. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer (unplugging the unit from the wall is optional but again can help). Wait at least 60 seconds, then plug in the power cord (first to the wall and then the printer). Turn on the printer (if needed). Reinsert the ink cartridges when you see the message. Close all open doors and print a calibration page if prompted to do so. Finally, reconnect the USB cable and try printing. If the error occurs again, the all-in-one needs service. You need to decide if it is worthwhile for you if the unit is out of warranty. See

If the error includes "Ink System Failure" then other items need to be checked. The cartridges themselves may be clogged or damaged, the printhead may need cleaning or replacing, or the printer may need service. See the link above and follow the link to solutions for errors with "Ink system failure". Note: you can't return a new print head if you replace it and the printer still needs service.
I hope this helps.

Keeps saying paper jam and
hi
1. 1 Switch off the printer and disconnect the powersupply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands ormetal tools inside the chassis.
2. Step 2 Pin down the exact location of the jam. Thethree hot spots for a jam are the paper tray, anywhere between the feed trayand the print carriage, or between the print carriage and the output tray.
3. Step 3 Take off the front paper tray if the sheet gotstuck while it was still in the front area of the printer. If the sheet jammedhere, you should be able to see most of the paper.
4. Step 4 Pull on the sheet with both hands and steadypressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeperin the machine.
5. Step 5 Open the back panel to reach paper jammedbetween the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer.Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine.
6. Step 6 Use the carriage access door to reach a jamfurther inside the all-in-one printer. You may need to move the print carriageout of your way to clear the jam.
7. Step 7 Return any access panels to their closed andlocked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Free downloads
HP's downloads page for the printer is
here. Pick your operating system and you can download the software you need.
How do you scan a picture? if you have a 5X7 and
The best program to put on your Pc is what I use and it is Free you, it is called PagePluse SE, you should try it you can do all sort of things with it but there no scan on it, just scan your photos to the your pc with another program witch has scan on it and put them in the SE program and you can do any size you wont and after adding text to it or backgrounds you can send it to the printer and print, an other program I use for scanning from the printer to the PC is called PainShop Pro 7 witch is a old program there newer ones out now but I am happy just using the old one it does the trick.
The
Free version is Called PagePluse SE you not need the version 9.
Ok here the link to download the PagePluse SE program and it not a free trial it a free, there is one you can Buy but this is all you need download the free one it just as good.

Hello, Shari.
Try cleaning the unit again. In some cases, repeating the cleaning steps will
resolve the problem. Here are some areas to note:
Rollers
Clean the rollers if the paper fails to feed
smoothly into the unit. Clean them with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with
water. You need to remove the rear access door to get to the rollers.
NOTE:
Purified or distilled water is
recommended for cleaning the rollers.
Ink cartridge and
cartridge contacts
-
Turn on the power to the unit and open the top
cover and/or the cartridge access door. The carriage will move to the center
allowing access to the cartridges.
-
After the print cartridges have moved to the center
and stopped, unplug the power cord from the back of the unit. This will keep the
cartridges from moving back to the capping station and prevent any electrical
damage.
-
Remove the cartridge(s) from the carriage.
-
Using a soft, clean cloth or cotton swab lightly
moistened with distilled, filtered, or bottled water, gently clean the areas
labeled by call-out 2 and 3 in the figure below. Do not touch the ink nozzle
plate (call-out 1). Change to a clean cotton swab as needed.
- Inside the all-in-one, clean the contacts in the
print carriage (the cartridge holder) with a soft clean cloth slightly dampened
with distilled, filtered, or bottled water. Allow them to dry completely before
reinserting the cartridge(s) and reapplying power.
Hope this helps.
