Inks from your printhead is deposited on right side of the soft sponge across the printhead pathway. Take a tissue paper and fold it and gently dap it dry
when you hook the printer up to the computer that is in the net work you have to go to printer options on each individual computer in that network and serch for that specific printer name and add it to the printer list.
Might be problem with carriage assembly or formatter...I am not suggesting any solution due to this exercise give costing you more... better go for new printer which is comparable the same cartridges to same money..
>> it would not catch the paper on the rollers so it could print.
Try more sheets of paper. After that, it's time to take it to a qualified printer technician, for professional trouble-shooting, tune-up (adjustment of those rollers), and maybe a proper burial in the responsibly-recycled bin.
you'll need a computer card reader, it is available in computer market or any electronics store. Just be sure to select the correct slot for your data card.....=)
Check ink levels
Use one of the following methods to check the ink levels.
NOTE:
If you have installed a refilled or remanufactured print cartridge or a cartridge that has been used in another printer, the ink level indicator will be inaccurate or unavailable.
Method one: Use HP Solution Center to check ink levels
HP Solution Center is software that acts as a centralized point of access for tasks such as scanning, printing, and copying. The software is part of the software package that comes with your product. When you perform a standard installation of the HP software, HP Solution Center is automatically installed.
You must have the full-feature print driver, which includes HP Solution Center, installed to use this method. If you do not have the full-feature print driver installed on your computer, you can install it now. Alternatively, you can use 'Method two: Check ink levels from the software program' to check the ink levels. Click this link (c02463264) (in English) to see instructions for installing the full-feature print driver and HP Solution Center.
Open HP Solution Center.
Windows XP : On the Windows taskbar, click Start , click All Programs , point to HP , and then click HP Solution Center .
Windows Vista : On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon (), click All Programs , click HP , and then click HP Solution Center .
Windows 7 : Click the Windows icon ( ), click Programs , click HP, and then click HP Solution Center .
If this does not work PLEASE let me know and I will guide you through other solutions to include tossing your printer out the window...LOL.. Just kidding
If you are on a computer through USB try this
If your printer is connected to a computer, look for HP folder under Start>All Program> and look for HP Printer toolbox. When Hp Printer toolbox opens, please choose the Services tab and choose clean printhead/cartridges. Do not forget to choose Align Printer after cleaning the cartridges.
Or try to clean it from the printer if it is not connected.
