For the paper jam issue turn around the printer and open the back door to pull the paper.
and for the power issue unplug power cord from wall and from the printer side too,plug everything back and ready to work.

i had a problem when i started up my printer the scanner would go out about half-way to the end and when it comes back it woyuld make a sound as if it where stuck. so what i did was i completely disassembled it. if anybody has any questions then just let me know

Use the printers own head cleaning programmes to clean the ink heads

Try to Cleaning the cartridge contacts or to change toner

It _must_ be setup via USB cable before any Wifi features can be used. Try connecting USB cable, then turn on scanner, then set up for use with computer... Then you can disconnect the USB cable and use the Wifi feature.

Turn it upside down to get the model / serial numbers. These may be found on the box as well. Now, not knowing if you registered this printer with the manufacturer or not, I would still call them for Tech support. Hewlett Packard are real good people to talk to. Their website is helpful too. Google / Bing it, and go to their "Official" website. This is the Best thing that you can do. If it's still new, take it, in the box with receipt back to the store where you bought it...But MAKE SURE: All the numbers match! I have had printers in the past that were packaged wrong, and the store would reject it, and not touch it at all. This is why the website is best; HP will even send you parts or a replacement free of charge in order to keep a happy customer.

Your add caught my attention because the glass on my 6110 printer broke.

Is this special glass?

I was aftraid I wouldn't be able to use the scanner anymore.

HP not real cooperative on replacing glass.

I can tell you after trying Vonage a few years ago and them telling us to change all sorts of settings on the machine, that faxing never worked and now I have no idea what the factory default settings should be.  So, if you decide to try it, WRITE DOWN THE DEFAULT SETTINGS so you can switch them back if you need to!

This could be dependent on your setup. I have mine plugged into a Cisco router and had to install virtual USB drivers before windows would start the application to enable printing. Also make sure your print spooler service is started if using windows 7.

You didn't use the HP printer cartridges? I know they are expensive. but the quality is worth it . I trust not a cheaper ink in a quality printer. You may need to check this HP url Printer Prints Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP... When you get to Solution four: Use an automated tool to clean the printhead a helpful tip is to repeat the printhead cleaning up to 4 times .

Has your cartridge been sitting a while in the box, maybe in a warm spot? Some times even new cartridges dry out a little. Was your old cartridge low or completely gone? Just as a test, if you put it back in your printer does the old cartridge work? Any printer error messages? Can you print a test page or an alignment page for your black cartridge? These might be too many questions but here are some HP support links with some How To information for getting more answers. Press 'MENU', Move to 'BASIC FAX SETUP' using right arrow key & press 'Enter', move to 'RINGS TO ANSWER' using arrow key & press 'Enter', enter desired no. of rings and press 'Enter'. The fax will answer after the set no. of rings in 'AUTO' answer mode.

turn off the printer and manually move the ink cartridges to the position that you can remove the ink cartridge.
turn on the printer without the ink cartridge. The printer will tell you, you need a ink cartridge, open the printer and insert the ink cartridge as described in the manual.
