when the test page comes out without any imperfections, it should print fine.

First, remove the existing installation. Go to Printers and Faxes and remove the HP PSC 2410 printer.

Disconnect the USB cable.

Restart your computer.

Reconnect the USB to your computer.

Your computer should see your printer. Install the printer driver.

If you are still getting an error, you will need to repair MDAC 2.8. Here's how:

Remove the cartridge. b) Remove the cartridge and use aclean, lint-free, dry cloth to gently wipe the contacts. c) Wipe from the top of the contact to the bottom. Do this foreach contact. d) Place the HP ink cartridge back in the carriage. Turn theprinter off for a minute. e) Turn the HP printer on. Use the printer to print a testpage. If this does not correct the problem, move onto option (c). 2. Nowreinstall the ink cartridge and turn the printer off for a minute. You may need to reset your HP PSCall-in-one printer after completing above process. For that follow these: a) Turn on the Office jet or PSCall-in-one printers. b) Unplug the power cord from theback of the printer and wait one minute. c) Plug the power cord back into theprinter. Well, either the 4GB card contacts are grotty, or the HP PSC 2410 doesn't like your SDHC card somehow; though SDHC cards are supposed to be able to ratchet down to SD for compatibility and a driver update could possibly fix this, it hasn't yet. Use a card that isn't SDHC; this probably limits you to 2GB or 4GB (see the readme in the HP print driver setup package you use.)

Go into your control panel, and in add/remove software, or under programs & features, look for HP's Smart Web Printing. Uninstall it.
