HP LaserJet 8150 Printer Questions & Answers
What does the error message EI0 1 Mean on the 8150dn printer?
EIO is the External Input Output slot that is on the formatter of the printer. the 8150 has 2 EIO slots (EIO 0 or EIO 1). One of the slots is probably the JetDirect card (network card) for the printer. The second slot might be a hard drive but is usually open.
If you are getting a EIO error first try reseating the JetDirect card (power off the printer first). If you are still getting the error pull the card and power up the device with out the card installed. if the error goes away power down the unit and install the card in the other EIO slot. if the card works you have a bad slot on the formatter but you should be good to use the device. If you get another EIO error the card is probably bad.

If that still doesn't work, try a cold reset with the card installed (hold down the green button as you power on, in 5-10 seconds the display will flash cold reset and you can let go and see if
the printer comes to ready) Good luck! :)

Could be the rubber roller that feeds paper through to the toner. Use a product called rubber rejuvenator which you can find at a Staples or Office depo...Spray it on the roller and it should soften the rubber and allow for the roller to grip the paper better. It could also be the flap on your toner getting stuck and not allowing the paper to pass through.
Hp Laserjet 8150 LVPS replacement
It is located in the back of the printer on the bottom. Remove the back
cover. With the power off, remove the formatter board by loosening the
two big screws and pulling out. Remove the plastic cover by the side of
the formatter cage. Remove the fan housing by the power connector by
removing the two screws, disconnect the cable and pull straigt out. Now
remove the big cable at the top and unwind from the high voltage ps.
Remove the white connector in the middle of the low voltage ps. Next
trace the white cable wires running from the ps to the dc controller
and remove the cable from the dc controller. Now trace the fan cable
for the fan in the front of the ps and remove it from the dc
controller. Remove all the screws which secure it to the frame and pull
straight out. Move the fan in front from the old ps to the new and
reverse instructions...
Take off the large metal side cover. Look down at the bottom of the
printer. The large box is the LVPS. Remove the screws holding it and
follow the wiring up to where it plugs in and pull the connectors off.
You'll also have to remove the fan above the LVPS on the top right side
of it. You will have to take the fan mounted on the LVPS off and put it
on the replacement LVPS as they don't come with fans.
