Hi,

This could be due to either dust inside the roller shutter or due to paper block which is torn and stuck. I suggest you to get the printer serviced by a near bye service centre.

The HP LaserJet 1300 does not have a print head. If you are having print quality issues then 9 times out of 10 it is coming from the toner cartridge. Simply swap it out if you have a spare. The only other possible cause is a bad fuser film which can cause double imaging or a problem where some of the print from the top part of a page is reprinted lighter at the middle or bottom of a page.

Do you mean that the orange attention light is lit and the Go button/light is lit? If the attention light is blinking, then the printer is in manual feed mode or out of memory.

Put in the media and press the Go button. To reset the media selection, go to the Printer Properties. When printing from an application, click Print and then Properties. From the Printer control panel (Start > Devices and Printers (on recent Windows versions) or Start > Settings > Printers (on older OS versions - prior to XP).) In either case right click on the printer icon and choose Properties or Printing Properties.

If you have too large a file (too many large images) and are out of memory, stop and cancel this file in the print spooler. Then reprint with a lower resolution. (This is in the Print Quality options. See the above and then the Paper/Quality or Finishing tab) Options will vary depend on the OS. Alternatively, add memory to the printer.

If the Ready light is also lit, the error depends on the pattern. If the lights are blinking in rotation, then the printer is initializing or printing a test page. If the lights are steady, you have a fatal error. Try unplugging the printer for at least 5 minutes (remove all cords from both the wall, computer and printer for the best chance of clearing the error.) If the error persists, the printer needs service. If all of the lights are blinking together, than you have an accessory problem. Try removing the memory. You may be able to reseat the sticks; alternatively replace the memory.

Go to this link so you will get CD driver before that check which operating system your are using , so you will get according to that driver

Don't use the HP disk.
Deinstall the drivers. Go to hp.com and download the latest drivers and try installing the printer again.

Humm what sound is being heard

Hello,
try to clean papaer pick up roller whit wet cloth or alcohol.
Open front door
remove toner cartridge
clean blue (usualy) paper pick up roller inside

Just re-assembling the printer and see that any parts is broken or not.If not broken just assembling. It is ok now 99%.

There are a few possible reasons that can cause this problem, first, the fuser assembly may be damaged or at the end of its life. The solution is to replace the fuser assembly. Repairing a fuser assembly is generally not recommended because the fuser is considered a consumable printer part and not worth the time or effort to fix. Second, some toner/ink may have spilled in the printer. If so, you'll need to clean it out.

1. Do you have a printer cable failure?

The printer will not be printing if its not connected to the computer. Check that the printer cable connecting your printer to the computer is firmly attached at both ends. Apart from this cable, there should be one more cable which is the one connecting to the wall outlet.

2. In case it still not work after checking try resetting and printing.

3. Else please change the Data Cable if it is very old one.

While you attempt to print, when the dialogue box pops out, check the printer name and make sure your printer model is selected.

Or, go to the control panel of your computer, under "printer", make sure your printer model is set as default.

You can also remove and fix back the ink cartridge, this can put the printer back to order.

If the above doesn't solve the problem, then it means you will have to uninstall the printer program, restart you computer and reinstall the program again.

Check to see if the go button is stuck/broken

If you are talking about the fuser, yes there is a fuser sleeve you can buy from eBay, if you knows how to fix printers. If not then buy a refurbished fuser and ask for instructions on how to replace it.

Go to www.hp.com. Let the website detect your printer and load the drivers automatically.
