This is what you should do:
Press the Start button and go to "Printers", and then right click on your printer (should appear as HP LaserJet 1300), and "Properties". Go to "Device Settings" and find Job Storage and Mopier Mode (they are at the bottom of the window). They're probably set to Enabled , so you need to choose Disabled for both (Job Storage and Mopier Mode). Click Apply and OK. Try printing multiple copies now. If it doesn't work, trying rebooting the computer and then trying to print again. It should work now.

You did not sya what software you are looking for; am assuming you are lookign for a new driver. See here for updated drivers for your printer and operating system:

If the printer is printing a test page (by pressing the button on the printer) it means printer is fine. There are only two things that could be having any issues. 1. The printer drivers and 2. the USB Cable. So, I suggest that uninstall the printer and reinstall the printer drivers (It should print the Test Page after driver installation). I have come accross such issues with USB printer and replacing the USB cable has always fixed the problem.

By the way,
If you are running WIN7, universal print drivers that come with Windows7 should automatically load.

see the problem is that the memory actually used by the printer to store the page till full printing is done is either damaged/corrupted or malfunctioning you need to go to a hp service centre to get it fixed as you yourself can't and will damage the parts inside instead

would indicate either a corrupt document or you are using the wrong driver.

Unplug and wait 10 minutes, plug back in power strip and "watch" the blinking lights they will tell you what is going on(or NOT).

Squeaking noise is usually caused by the toner cartridge, expecially after market ones. But if its not the toner, I've seen the mirror motor cause a rotation noise in the 1300/1200 series printers.

if the noise is like a plastic packaging its most likely the Fuser Fixing Film.
You can get it replaced at a tech with a compatible one or with a new fuser assembly.

Hello shirley, you have to get out the Toner cartridge, you look now directly on the pickuproller for the paper. At the side of the roller are 2 small hooks, bend them smoothly to the side, away from the roller and the roller can be put out to you. Clean ist with a clammy flannel, dry it and put it back into the printer. The other rollers are in the fusing unit and cannot be cleaned by users only service engeneers.
