i have this printer, what you have to do is when you power it up, wait and listen until the printer grabs the paper to do the test print, then quickly press the CANCEL button once, the paper will pass through the printer but not print, then just put the paper back in the feed tray and start your day with a smile. The cancel button is on the left hand side underneath the power button. The printer prints a test page when you change ink cartridge as well by the way.

Check the gear on the left side of your printer where the disk encoder strip is attach,the gear is not holding the metal shaft your need to replace that gear. The problem is in the inner hole where the shafting is attached.

Open the door to check if the paper is not stucked inside or anything, it might be that the door pin might be broken so is not well closed. perhaps you can uninstall and re-install it once again from control panel of your computer if its linked..if not just switch it off and on after some ten min...I hope that helps
