HP 1200 Business Inkjet, dutifully prints BLANK info page from printer button.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.
HP ink jet 1200..prints only test page after replacing the yellow cartridge.test page only shows black and blue inks are good.need help.
Important thing: HP inkjet printers having self align technology & its aligns automatically after replacing the ink cartridge/s.In the process of align it will prints align page &it will read it on the model.Suppose if you replaced yellow cartridge, as usually it will print align page, but if one or more cartridges not printing properly align will not completes. Results every time it will prints the align page when its switching on. Align will completes only when all cartridges/print heads are in healthy condition.. Check the alignpage find out which colors are not printing properly, replace it to over come from this issue. Now you decide what to do?..

Unfortunately, you are correct. HP has not developed the drivers you need in order to get your printer to work with anything above 10.5. Your options are to downgrade to 10.5, get a different printer (check for compatibility with 10.5 before buying), or wait for HP to offer this driver at some point in the future. I wish I had a different answer. Sorry. :(

In the manual for
Press the info button (to the left of the on button) and you will get a status report about the ink cartridges and printheads.
The printheads are inside the main body of the printer and can be ordered using the part number on the status report.

You didn't say "which" light, and your printer has many.
Here is a manual...if you go to page 18, there is a section called "interpreting control panel lights" ..this should tell you what kind of error it has.

I would think it would either be (1) out of paper, (2) out of ink, (3) a door is open...well, those are the 3 most common. If it's something else, come on back huh? If you need help with a particular error after you determine what it is, you can either make a new post, or add it in the comments.

Printer hasn't been used in
Your print heads are probably bad. Best solution is to buy a new printer. The cost on the print heads is more than the machine is worth.
Every time i open the printer an alignment page is
it is alignment test page just put the printed alignment test page paper on scanner glass and press the scan button to complete the process. It is alignment process which is printer is doing for self testing after installing new cartridge. Just finish the process.

Hi Yes you can try clean.
Ok it got to be the heads blockage
There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.
Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

My HP Business Inkjet 1200 printer always prints
Some of print heads may be failed.First clean very well the contacts on the print heads and printer using piece of cotton and some alcohol.If not help look which color don't print and replace that print head.

the error's you were getting on the CIS could have been from the chip. Try setting the date back on the computer or on the printer back 1 year. See if that makes a difference (if you still have the CIS and the printer). Best advice, get an updated chip.
