I had this problem after I ran a print cartridge out of ink on my HP business inkjet 1200. The Print color light stayed on solid, and would not print.  After much frustration and trying many other things, I purged the air from the print cartridge pump, and that cleared the problem. To get rid of the air (which I could see through the translucent wall of the pump) I inserted a syringe needle (without the syringe) into the nozzle of the cartridge, and expelled some ink with the air. This is messy, so I recommend gloves. I have been refilling my cartridges for years. 

Check the paper sensor has not come loose. Lift the lid, it is on the right hand side of the rollers with the red and blue wire. Press down lightly to make sure is hasn't come loose.

If not, reset the printer:
While the printer is on, press and hold the configuratuion button and press resume (paper feed) button 3 times.
Wait 20 second and press the power button.
Disconnect the power and wait 20 seconds.
Connect the power and switch the printer on.

Make sure you have the correct page size in the software.

I don't think this printer will allow you to print in the last 12mm of the page as it needs this to hold the paper while printing.

File>print>preferences>services>open hp toolbox>configuration> select on black print cartridge in drop box>apply

Unplug priter power cord, open all dors and check for paper stuck inside.

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Based on your description, this is a failed power supply adapter. Should your particular version/model uses and external PSU adapter similar to the one shown below, then it would require either servicing or replacement.

Incidentally, one is available from eBay.

3 drops of water to each print head and then gently wipe them dry with a paper towel.

did you clean and re calibrate those print heads?

hmmm..that's a little weird..did you check online for instructions from their website?

sure..there must be something underneath in the tray or paper slots..check carefully..I use a pen light in a darkened room..the white shows clearly then.

that's from a problem with the print queue manager..empty it out, power down completely, start again..

sure..get a new control board..since that one is literally toasted

The Text print and photographs that are printed are missing are coming with green colour.

hmm...what happens when you connect that printer to the pc you are on right now?

With the printer on remove the printhead and turn the printer off. Turn the printer back on again without the printhead and let restart. Once the printer has finished the startup process reinstall the printhead. Let us know if that works and please don't forget to rate this posting.
