Fax Error Codes

I'm trying to send a fax. I keep receiving a communication error which cites Error 346. Is there a list of fax error codes for this 7210?

ERROR 346 The remote machine has failed to respond to a fax command from the local machine because the connection was interrupted. These errors can occur if the phone lines in the area are old or if noise is present (static on the phone line). Other reasons could be power outages and other power-related problems.

HP officejet 7210 fax error

HP OfficeJet 7210 saying that there is a jam and that the fax failed even though all pages scan through without any visible problem. The recipient on the other end will then only receive one or two pages.
If however he faxes to a stand alone fax machine, he never has any issues at all

Remove and Check Color Cartridge

the Remove and Check Color Cartridge error appeared on my printer a few days ago. I have done anything and everything to get it to work but nothing has worked yet. I have sent an email into HP support but have received no response yet. I see on other blogs where people have had the same issue. Does anyone have any information out there that can help??

Last night I spent an hour with HP Technician on-line trying to diagnose the problem with my 2 year old HP Officejet 7210 All-In-One. After trying everything HP came up to resolve the problem, the technician determined it is a hard failure in the electronics hardware. Since my warranty is expired they offered me a deal on the L7680 All-In-One. My 7210 was very lightly used (still on first set of cartridges). If this is the quality of the latest generation of HP hardware, I am probably going to look at something else.

Cartridge is not intended for use in this printer

I have recently migrated from the UK to Australia and brought my HP Officejet 7210 All-in-One printer with me. It was fitted with a 339 black cartridge and a 344 colour cartridge. The equivilent in Oz are 94 black and 95 colour, but when fitted I get 'Cartridge error Black (94) cartridge is not intended for use in this printer.'

How do I reset the region lock that is on the printer so I can use Australian cartridges and not have to get them shipped over from the UK?

Under the setup menu, then under preferences, there's an item where you can change the language & country. I don't know if that will have any affect on the cartridge selection though.

remove and check right cartridge

keep getting this error message
what should i try?

Install a new cartridge or clean the contacts on both the back of the cartridge and the contacts where the cartridge is plugged into, with warm water. Dry both then reinstall. Make sure neither show any damage. I have seen inkjet printers where a small hole is poked into the traces where the cartridge installs into the printer, destroying it.

remove and ck right cartridge

i have a 7210 All in one that i can not get the "remove and ck right cartridge " error message off. I have taken out the cartridges and replaced them both....

Once remove both the cartridges from the all-in-one and then clean the copper contacts of the cartridges and then put only black cartridge and check for the message displayed on the all-in-one if it even reads check right cartridge then the issue is with the all-in-one hardware. If it reads insert right or color cartridge then the issue seems to be with the cartridge.

Remove the cartridges from the all-in-one and power cycle the all-in-one and then reset.

Now insert the cartridge and check for the result. If the issue still persists then check the expiry date on the cartridge and once replace the cartridge and check for the result.

When trying to scan, 7210 doesn't see/recognize networked computers

BACKGROUND: The 7210 is on the same network as multiple computers, all of which are running Windows XP and all of which can print to the device. I just downloaded the mamma-jamma 450MB full feature device driver for networked connection directly from HP's web site, and the install seemed to go fine.

PROBLEM: When I try to scan, the LCD screen says "Select Computer" with a little right arrow. But pressing the right arrow doesn't do anything, and when I click the "OK" button it says "No scan options" and tells me I need to install device software.

Any suggestions?

From each computer, you need to run the HP Director. When opened, click on SETTINGS, then SCAN TO settings to configure. This way it will transfer data to the scanner so that when at the scanner, that computer will be in the list of places to send a scan job.

HP Officejet 7210 All-In-One printer two-sided printing

I want to use the two-sided printing option. I get an error msg: "Automatic two-sided printing module missing". I called HP. The tech was barely understandable, had no idea how to help me and cut my phone call off when he transfered me to someone else. I have some printing to do where this feature would come in handy and save paper.

Had the same issue with an Officejet 7210.

Basically, what the printer is trying (not very well) to tell you is that it is not capable of handling the entire two sided printing project automatically - which for reasons that are completely obscure is the default setting for two sided print jobs - way to go HP!

To solve the problem, open up the printer's properties window (or preferences depending on your approach). On the printing shortcuts page, you should find a drop-down menu entitled Print on Both Sides. This drop down should read 'Automatic' (which indicates that the printer will print the first side, flip and reload the paper and print the other side without any intervention - yeah, riight). Simply change this setting to 'Manual' and the problem is solved!

Happy printing!

Tip 1: Update to the latest drivers This is the most important tip. Download the latest driver for your scanner from the manufacturer website..
Tip 2: Reset your scanner If your scanner used to work in PDF Studio but stopped working: Turn off your scanner ...
Tip 3: Make sure scanner works in other applications
Tip 4: Try another scanner driver

HP Officejet 7210 Is Very Very Slow (10 mins / page printing)

My HP Officejet 7210 all in one series has suddenly become very slow to print or copy (10mins per page to print / copy). I have the connected direct to a laptop via USB connection. Previously worked for several months on this set-up. I have taken the following steps to try and resolve: uninstalll / re-install software & drivers / connected to a direct power source (no surge protect) / cleaned ink cartridges / rollers.
But is still takes the same amount of time to print / copy.
Any other suggestions / advise on how I can resolve this.
Thanks
Tim

And I have exactly the same problem too that has happened in the last few weeks.

I've tried reinstalling the software/drivers and resetting the printer to factory settings but no joy. An upgrade either windows or HP must have caused this!
