Lcd screen is flashing error:

Hi there,
Please try the following steps:
Make sure unit is plug directly into a wall outlet and not connected to any power strips or surge suppressors
Note : Power strips and surge suppressors can sometimes prevent enough voltage from reaching the product.

  1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
  2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
  3. Wait for the ' Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  5. Wait 60 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
  7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
  8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
  9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Your printer should be back in a working condition after this. Let me know if this has been of any help. Thanks for using Fixya.

How do i check my

What OS do you have on your computer?

Do you have the full software installed, if available for your OS? See http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=421991& , select your OS and then click Next. The Ink Level indicator is part of the HP Toolbox or HP Solution Center (depending on the printer). So without the full-software, the service tab (and ink level information) sn't available.

For the OfficeJet 6210, the driver for the all-in-one is part of the Windows OS for Windows 7. So the ink level information isn't available at the computer.

The other way to get the ink level is to have the printer do a print quality self-test. Put plain white letter, A4 or legal sized paper in the paper tray. Then press Setup (on the printer). Press 2 and 5 (selecting Print Report and Self-Test Report). The ink level may not be given exactly. (Use the quality of the ink blocks to determine if the ink needs to be replaced.)

I hope this helps.

Can I connect this unit to my computer using a

What kind of standard cable are you referring to? Is it a cable that you would insert to connect to cable tv? Unless your PC and printer has a space where you can insert a cable you will need a USB.
