the carriage is not the CARTRIDGE , the carriage(the cartridge holder) stall at somewhere in the print area i hope my answer is useful?

Dear please refill your colour cartridge or replace your cartridge or purchase the correct cartridge No.

You should take it back and exchange it or read on below.
Most modern cartridges have an ink level chip built on to them.
Should the level drop below 25% then most of these chips lock up and will not reset.
Re-filling them will have no effect
If you are lucky you should be able to find either a chip resetter around on the internet or maybe even local
OR
Even better empty cartridges that never need to be reset.
The second option is my preference
I realise these are not for your specific printer but there are others listed on both those sites as well

Face down on the glass.

Try This :
Connect the printer directly to the wall outlet ; not through any Power strip
Then Unplug the Power cable from the back of the printer
Keep on tapping the power cable for next 30 seconds
Plug in back the power cable;
Open the rear access door and you will get to see some rollers
Clean the rollers with a Lint free cloth Moistened with some distilled water
Try to do a copy if still it doesn works
Then Unplug the Power cable from the back of the printer
With one hand press and hold down the (#) and the (6) button and with the other hand plug in back the power cable ; it will do a Semifull reset on the printer; This will take some time ; Follow the instruction on the screen;
If still it doesn't work then you need to contact HP ;

They will replace the printer for you free of cost (No Charge if the printer is in warranty i.e within 1 yr of purchase)

switched off the printer and put out the cartridge and again put it at its perfect slot/position and switched on the printer and press down the reset button for 10secs . then it will ask for print out for check the color. then it will b all ok.thnx

You may download software and drivers from here.

There's a small locking mechanism that holds the carriage in it's home position. This needs to be slightly sprayed with WD-40 or a similar lubrication (small amount). Problem solved.
