Error for print door open, but its not

Check ink cartridges are properly located. My HP does the same if ink is misplaced.

How do i clean the hp printer's in order to get a clean and darker print?

Print quality depends on cartridge health condition only, especially in inkjet printers.*Print head clogging: Usually white horizontal lines in print outs due to print head nozzles are clogged. Printer it self having self cleaning mechanism to clean the nozzles while printing & powering on..And "clean nozzles" option also designed in printer drivers for cleaning. And last option is manual cleaning. Alcohol is good solvent & best for cleaning the nozzles,use cotton or ear buds to swab on the surface of the nozzles with alcohol gently.. You will get good quality print outs if cartridges are in good condition..(see the snap shots)Other parts to clean: Encoder,disc encoder, service station & rollers needs to clean periodically to avoid malfunctions & paper jams.* Encoder's malfunctions: If any vertical or horizontal crooked print outs observed, clean both encoders needs to clean.. One more Q. re Stephen's Solution for Leslie Buchanan, Before installing the FULL version software, so I need to uninstall anything?

I don't know the specifics about your printer but when I need to do something on my printer I find it is better if I go into printers and delete the printer. Then go into add/remove programs in control panel and remove the software. After that you can go back and do a full install and it should be as if you just put in a new device. I hope this helps you.

No icons for Image Zone (4.2 I think) or HP

Hi Leslie, you will need to download the full software package, but before you do, unplug the USB cable that is connected between your printer and your computer then Go to this LINK for XP Home full software package to suit HP 1315, then1. Click the Download only button.2. When prompted, choose Open to start the download and run the software installer.3. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the installation process.4. Connect the USB cable between your HP all-in-one device and your PC when directed by on-screen instructions, and turn on your HP all-in-one device.5. Wait for additional on-screen installation instructions before using the all-in-one.Let me know if you need more help, I'll be waiting.CheersSteve

Printer is not printing

Please follow the following steps.

1) Turn off the printer.

2) Shutdown the PC to which the printer is connected.

3) Remove the USB/Serial cable through which the printer is connected to the PC and reconnect it back.

4) Now switch ON the PC(only PC and not the printer)

5) Let the PC boot up and login to windows.

6) Now switch on the printer, PC should detect the printer automatically now. Now you will be able to print.

Cartridge problem

Replace new cartridges..then check...Printer error showing that cartridges are faulty, replace them, no use to refill them.

Cartridge erros

Replace both cartridges(new one not refilled), check.. if error persistsOpen top cover:> Check trailing cable, any damage/continuity failed replace it> Replace carriage assm.> Replace formatter.

Continue to receive E error message

Check control panel lights, if cartridge led's are blinking replace particular cartridge, if paper led's are blinking check any paper jam inside, if no paper found clean paper sensor.

Why do I continue to get the E error message and blinking light on cartridges

The 'Ink Alert' or 'Low on Ink' message displays on the computer or on the product control panel.If the cartridge has been refilled or re manufactured, 'Low on Ink' or 'Ink Alert' or error messages appears on display panel.Replace with the new genuine cartridge which is showing error on display..

It says check print cartridge

first of all turn off the printer ... remove the cartidge.... try to clean the slots where the cartidges gets installed as well you will find dotted bronze spots on the cartidges try to clean it... turn on the printer and inser the cartidge... if u still get the error the msg for both the cartidge try putting in a new cartidge id you can and if still there is the messag if might be th problem with printer.... replace the printer....

My hppsc 1315 printer has a problem with the Print

Hi Noel, Let me start by informing you it is not a problem with your printer but it is a problem with your print drivers on your pc or windows itself.What I normally find is that that is corrupt driver installed on the system, your best bet is to uninstall via control panel/programs and features (or add remove programs depending on windows version) all old printer driver software and also remove completely this HP's software, you will probally find old programs that were installed on/with previous printers, get rid of them all as I have seen conflicts occur when two different driver software programs are installed (especially epson). Once you have removed old printer programs, go to printers and faxs and delete all unused icons for old printers and also this Hp's one. Then reboot.Dont use the CD to install new drivers go to HP's web and download the latest HP driver for use with your printer and operating system, ensure it is exactly correct but even the HP universal driver should work as long as it is for the right windows system ie Vista, or Win7 64bit etc.What is your windows system? (im guessing Vista as it has known to have issues) Also ensure you have the latest service packs installed from windows update, expessally if using VIstaLet me know how you go but from many years experance let me assure you it is not a issue with the printer itself but a problem with the way in which windows is trying to communicate with it via installed software and windows print spooling software.
