HP 1315v Printer Makes grinding noise and won't feed paper anymore

It sounds as though a sheet of paper or an envelope bunched up and has jammed inside. Until that is removed from the feed roller, you will continue to hear the 'grinding' sound, and won't be able to print anything. Remove the cover from the backside of the machine, then locate and remove the obstruction. If you don't have any such obstruction then you have a mechanical defect which is not user repairable.

Hp 1315v all-in-one printer will not recognize cartridge. Does anyone know how to bypass the coding that tells it to not recognize the cartridge?

This page addresses what to do if you get different blinking lights on the printer. Match up the blinking light on this page with the light on your computer. Then click the plus sign to expand the page and view the solutions. The solutions for blinking cartridge light are not easily pasted here and I can't bookmark to that solution. Blinking Lights One thing to keep in mind with ink cartridge problems is that the cartridge has a warranty as well. You might consider checking back with HP using the warranty on your cartridge.

Full psc 1315 drivers

If you allowed the device driver to auto-install in Windows 7 for example, only the printer driver will install and not the software required for scanning. You need to download and install the complete full feature software package. You need the AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe file from the link below: HP Deskjet and Officejet Full Feature Software and Drivers

My printer keeps printing the test page every time it's switched on

I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy until I did this. Please follow exactly and IN ORDER.

1. Turn off the printer and wait 10 seconds. Turn it on again

2. Let the printer print the test page.

3. After the test page is printed, disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer to your computer. DO NOT turn off the printer while disconnecting the USB cable.

4. Place the test page on the scanner glass and press the SCAN button on the printer. The ON light will flash as the page is being scanned.

5. Remove the test page when the ON light is steady.

6. Finally, turn off the printer and wait another 10 seconds. Then turn it on again. No more printing test pages! Yay!

(You may now reconnect the printer to your computer via the USB cable.)

Cannot find my HP psc 1315 printer using mac os x maverick

I've managed to get the scanning to work on Mavericks! Basically my all-in-one printer is the psc 1315 and the procedure requires installing SANE and HPLIP http://wiki.nosdigitais.teia.org.br/Mac#Using_old_scanners_and_printers_through_SANE It is not a very simple procedure, but is the only free solution that I know and works well.

Reset 1310

HP PSC 1310 "hard reset" is easiest try: power on, wait until the power cycle completes. WITHOUT switching off, unplug power cord from printer. Wait approcimately 30 secs, plug back in and power on. This is a "dirty power up" and causes a reset that does NOT reset your settings. if that fails, try a FACTORY reset:
  1. With the power on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of printer.
  2. Wait 15 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  4. When the lights begin to blink, press and hold both the On/Resume button (Power ) and the Paper Size button at the same time.
  5. When only the On/Resume button (Power ) is blinking, release both buttons.
  6. Wait until the On/Resume button (Power ). is steady.
Factory reset (settings wiped) is done. Try setting it up again. if all else fails, here is a guide that may help: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c00095908-36%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken Good luck!

Hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.
